I Want To Get A Loan With Navyfederal Credit Union

Navy federal credit union loan?

Most likely Navy Federal would not give your mother a car loan since she now has no job to pay for the loan. Almost all banks do a credit check before loaning out any money, which tells them your past credit history, where you have lived, previous attempts to borrow funds, and employment history. The credit check alone will notify them that she has no job, which puts her at a high risk of not being able to pay on the loan. She may have a strong credit history, but the fact that she is unemployed hurts your chances of getting approved.

$1500 isn't that much if that's all you need to get a car. If you have a part time job you could always try to work out a payment plan with the seller of the car whether they are a dealership or a private owner. Some people would be willing to work with you if they feel that you are an honest individual. Most dealerships also do in-house financing, so you would actually be making payments to the dealership.

Which is better, USAA or Navy Federal Credit Union?

I have used Navy Federal since high school, and while serving in the Marines. I have NEVER had a bad experience with them. It's almost scary. I am sure that USAA offers many perks, but I like credit unions much better.USAA rejected me since I was a Veteran and not active duty. I think this is BS because my only source of income is my VA disability check. They wouldn't even give me an auto insurance or home Insurance quote. In addition, since they are a bank, I am sure that there are many “fees” associated with them. But that falls back to good credit unions vs. banks. Finally, I have heard some not so nice stories and even witnessed first hand, regarding bad service during insurance claims (on both sides of the claim). As many insurance companies, they can be quick to take money, but very difficult to pay out.USAA will never have my business after my experiences, but I also know others who are very happy.I recommend looking into Credit unions vs banks and going from there!

For proof google: Credit .com Credit Score Calculator
Any time you use more than 30% of the limit of a card - you reduce credit.
Ex: $1,000 limit - never touch more than $300 at any time duriong the month.
Employers check, so do landlords and car insurance companies (you'll pay more)
Be careful what you do with your credit cards.
For best credit scores - use your card for things you need like gas, and pay in full each month.
It's your high usage that is hitting your score hard.
It's not the thin file...
