American University of Paris/Rome?
Hey there, Just to give you some basic explanations on what to look for: 1) American Universities abroad are usually independent institutions that are accredited by U.S. accrediting bodies. In the case of AUP, we are accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges that also accredits universities like Columbia or NYU. When looking at American-style colleges in the U.S. or abroad, always make sure that they are accredited by one of the six regional accreditation bodies and not by one of the hundreds of national accreditation bodies. This gives your degree legitimacy over a degree obtained by schools that do not follow this rigorous accreditation process and also ensures that your credits will transfer back in case of a visiting semester. 2) We strongly recommend a study abroad experience to all college students and encourage our students to spend a semester at another institution to broaden their personal and academic horizon. Whether Paris, Rome, Beirut etc. is the right place for you depends entirely on you. 3) My recommendation would be to peruse the websites of all the colleges abroad that you are interested in. Look at the courses and degrees they offer, look at the professors that teach these courses (i.e. their reputations in the field), look at the constituency that you will be studying with and get in touch with the admissions office to ask your questions. Students of AUB, How is 'American University of Beirut'?
Answer to all of my questions please. 1. Fees of AUB 2. Are people good in AUB? 3. Are their Arabs, Asians & foreigners in AUB? 4. Are there Asians studying in AUB? 5. Percentage to get into AUB? 6. Is SAT exam necessary to get into AUB? 7. Is CBSE system acceptable to enter to AUB? 8. Is the entrance exam easy or tough? My mom is from Philippines & my dad is Lebanese. I've never ever visited Lebanon neither Philippines. My dad might send me to Lebanon to study there but I am a bit scared because I've never been in Lebanon & never had Lebanese girls friends, I only had few Lebanese guys friends, the Lebanese girls that I know never ever liked me & I am scared that I might not be able to get girls friends in AUB, I am a girl btw. Am I able to get girls friends in AUB? Btw my school subjects are English, physics, chemistry, biology & informatics. Am I able to get into engineering with these subjects without maths? I want students of American university of Beirut to answer my questions.
