I Will Go To China In 2 Months From Now My Question Is Does My Flight Date Need To Match The Date I

Does my passport need to be got 6 months before I leave?

You must have a currently valid passport as of the moment you go online to register for ESTA (for citizens of certain countries, including Ireland, to use visa waiver privileges). Your passport typically should be valid for a minimum of another 6 months after date of arrival in a foreign country (some variation by country). So once you get your passport, and it is currently valid, you can sign up for ESTA, catch a plane and go! There's no "waiting period" to use a passport - once it is valid, it is valid until expiration date. Dates of validity are printed on the passport.

Is a passport number required to book an international flight?

Some airlines will require your passport information at the time of booking while others allow you to add it later and others will add it to the booking when you check in at the airport. If your destination is the USA, then AFAIK you must add it prior to checkin to meet the USA’s security clearance regulations - I think they need the info 24 hours prior to departure. Many airlines that will just cancel your ticket if you fail to provide this Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) information before that deadline. Qantas will not issue a ticket on a USA bound flight unless they have the APIS information at the time of ticketing - see Important Information for Travel to USANote that ticketing and booking may be at different times. You can book a flight but wait for ticketing for a period of time. The difference between these times will depend on the class of travel. Business and First class fares can often be ticketed as late 24 hours prior to departure while cheaper economy class fares may need to be ticketed prior to midnight on the day of booking - others still have a 2–3 day window available.

When my flight is delayed, does the airline owe me compensation?

How annoying and boring it is for passengers just to know that their flight is being delayed. You will often find passengers stranded at the airport, waiting for their flight to depart. Why wait? you can get up to 600€ for your delayed flight. Claiming a compensation is every flyers’ right.Yes, the airlines owes you compensation for the inconvenience caused to you abiding by the EC Regulation 261/2004.What is EC Regulation 261/2004?EC Regulation number 261 of 2004 is a regulation in EU law specifying common rules on compensation and assistance to air passengers in the event of flight delays, flight cancellations and denied boarding.EC Regulation states that: “The airline owes you financial compensation of up to 600€ for the inconvenience caused to you because of a flight delay of more than 3 hours, flight cancellation or denied boarding”.EC Regulation applies for all EU flight passengers who traveled from an EU airport to anywhere and those who traveled with an EU airline to an EU airport to claim compensation. There are certain reasons of flight delays for which the EC Regulation does not apply. Some of the common reasons for which a flight may be delayed:Maintenance problems: This is one of the most common reasons for a flight delay. All of the technical aspects, re-fueling, mechanical problems, etc. in a flight are checked by the authorized personnel. You are entitled to claim compensation if your flight was delayed due to maintenance problems.Extreme bad weather, hurricane, or blizzard (known as Exceptional Circumstances): There are some extraordinary cases that cause major flight delays which are also known as "Act Of God". These are some special cases in which you are not entitled to claim compensation.Air traffic congestion: This type of flight delays mostly happen when lots of people are travelling at some of the very busy days of the year (for example: summer holidays, Thanksgiving, etc.)You may want to read about:3 different approaches to claim compensation for delayed flight:- What is the process to claim compensation for delayed flight?Amount that you are entitled to claim from the airline :- How much money can I claim for a flight delay?I hope these answers will help yo claim compensation for your delayed flight.Cheers,Clarke Barry.

My Girlfriend is going to become a flight attendant...?

I love her with all my heart. I met her 8 months ago now, but we don't live together, as I am a bit younger and attending high-school. I have read how much flight attendants are away, working, in other countries. With other people, other guys, tired, at bars (although she doesn't drink) Of course I trust her, but under this pressure, people aren't the same...

I don't want our relationship to become long distance again, we did that for 4 months and it wasn't nice. I also want to attend a university in a different country, as my high school qualifications would require me to go to an American school at best. Her contract would last for at least 3 years, and the waiting period before for 1+ years.

What should I do? She's going to apply in under 2 months, this is her dream, not just a job. She wants to go to other countries, experience new things, the world. But by herself? What if some other guy comes part of that package. She tells me she wants to marry me, have kids, live with me, be with me forever. But what happens when I begin to miss her too much. When the strain on our relationship, and my heart is too much? I know she will get a lot of holiday, but they are always asleep for that time. With my education, which is full time+1, and her working weekends a lot, I may only see her rarely. That wouldn't be a relationship, and I don't want the heartbreak.

She tells me its going to be fine, but doesn't know herself much what its going to do to us. What should I do if things become tough? Should I ask her to choose between me and her job? She just tells me not to think like that. I would choose her over anything, ANYTHING. But if this is her life dream, maybe its not a question of choosing, but just making do to her. I am really unhappy at the moment about this. I am starting school again in a week.

Another thing is, her mood is completely erratic. When she is tired, all the time, she constantly causes arguments. When she is less tired, she sometimes sees what she's done, but it happens a lot. Its because she gets up every morning at 5:00am, and arrives home from 9-12pm, sleeping from 12-3am. Its ridiculous, and i can only see things getting worse when shes an attendant. Working weekends, long, long hours. Its a horrible thought... for me.

Does anyone have experience in this? Please help me REALLY URGENT. :<

Does a travel visa need to be valid on the date of departure or is it being valid from the date of arrival ok?

Your visa is valid from 00:01 hours on the 8th until 23:59 hrs on the expiration date. If it is a type C visa and it says "Schengen Staaten" in the first column it is valid to travel to 23 other countries in Europe at present.

Common consular instructions on visas for the diplomatic missions and consular posts (2005/C 326/01)

This heading indicates the period of the holder's stay as authorised by the visa.
The date from which the visa holder may enter the territory for which the visa is valid is written as below, following the word "FROM":
- the day is written using two digits, the first of which is a zero if the day in question is a single digit.
- horizontal dash.
- the month is written using two digits, the first of which is a zero if the month in question is a single digit.
- horizontal dash.
- the year is written using two digits, which correspond with the last two digits of the year.
- For example: 15-04-94 = 15 April 1994.

The date of the last day of the period of the visa holder's authorised stay is entered after the word "TO". The visa holder must have left the territory for which the visa is valid by midnight on this date.

Does it cause problems if I travel with one-way (flight) tickets?

The most frustrating thing about travel is that the rules are inconsistantly applied across the board.  I would recommend you take the strictest interpretation of the rules.  That is if you are travelling to a country, to take up a tourist visa you must have proof of onward travel.  As your first stop is Hong Kong I would definately have proof of onward travel.  Otherwise the following could accour.  You could be stopped from boarding your flight to HongKong in you departure city.  Airlines are fined $5,000 and forced to repatriate people they let enter a country on incorrect visa's.If the airline lets you in, immegration may stop you in HongKong and refuse to let you enter, and put you on the next flight back home. However you don't have to buy a return ticket if you don't want to.  What you could do is buy the cheapest ticket possiable to another country.  Eg a Dragon air flight to Vietnam or an Air Asia flight to K.L. That would satisfy the requirements, and the tickets can be very cheap so even if you don't use it, it would be worth the peace of mind.

I will go to china and my visa will expire 2 days after my flight, can I still travel and enter china?

Student Visa (X-visa) is issued to a foreign citizen who comes to China for the purpose of study or advanced study for a period of six or more months.

Period of validity of a visa

The period of validity of a visa refers to the period of validity of the visa itself. The holder of a visa is eligible to enter China at any time prior to the expiry of its period of validity (allowed to enter China even before the 24th hour of the last date of its period of validity), so long as the entries granted on the visa have not been used up.

Duration of Stay of a Visa

Duration of stay of a visa refers to the longest period the visa holder is allowed to stay in China from the date of entry into China on each visit.
After entry into China, a foreign citizen who needs to stay in China longer than the duration of stay on the visa must apply for an extension of stay at a local public security bureau before the expiry of the duration of stay on the visa. This does not necessarily mean your application for the extension of stay will for certain be approved. The applicant shall bear any consequences arising therefrom.

If a guy asks me to go on vacation, does that mean he is serious about our relationship?

No, if a guy asks you to go on vacation, that doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s serious about you.Let me tell you how it was back in the day. Even, oh, ten years ago or so, you didn’t go on vacation with someone you were seeing unless you were very serious about that person—as in marriage serious. Traveling together is a bonding experience; these are times when you make once-in-a-lifetime memories. It used to be something you did together after you knew each other for a very long time. It was a sacred ritual.Things have changed, and they have changed rapidly. I had an online dating profile for a while. I literally cannot tell you how many male profiles I read that included, “I want someone to travel with”. That seemed like it was putting the cart before the horse, to my mind. But I ended up dating one of them, and … guess what? I was too naive (well-bred?) to even think that someone would take me on vacation without being completely 100 percent serious about me to the extent that he saw me as the one. Well, apparently travel is the new concert ticket.Vacations are tempting. Who doesn’t want to get away from it all? However, two months is a very short time to know someone, and you don’t know this man. Do you want to be his destination f**k, or do you want a serious, long-term relationship? Saying “No, but it’s really too soon for that; let’s see how it goes. Maybe sometime in the future depending on how things transpire” might be helpful in shedding light on the gentleman’s intentions. If he respects your decision and wants to keep seeing you regardless, he might just be a keeper. If he doesn’t, he’s out primarily for one thing. And you know what the one thing is, right? Also, who’s paying for all this—? If a man asks you to do something really expensive, he should be willing to pick up the tab. If he expects you to pay your own way … guess what? One thing.I suggest that you read User’s response. Like, read it three times, because it’s great.
