How would we tackle an alien invasion?
We'd lose. Horribly horribly badly. There's ZERO chance of us winning or even posting a threat. We'd likely not even know we were invaded. Stop for a moment to consider the technology needed to traverse the stars. They would be orders of magnitude more advanced than us. They'd be more advanced than us than we are of the Sentinelese people. If we sought to invade those islands with our full military force, all at once, every nation on planet earth . . . that MIGHT compare to the degrees of technological disparity I'm talking about.We wouldn't even know we were invaded. Stop thinking "Independence Day" and/or "V" and/or "Skyline" or any other fictional account. Just like the Sentinelese people have no ability to imagine our technology and prepare for or predict or counter such an invasion, we too would have no ability to imagine, predict or counter an alien invasion from such an advanced species.I've already stated this, by any point in time that an alien race would traverse the stars and invade us, they'd have long since learned with 100% accuracy how to create micro (or nano) contagions. They'd simply be able to release a probe with a few hundred different strains of whatever, that target us, or all animals or all biology and begin wiping us out. We'd simply think some horrible plague had happened and would be gone within short order. We'd be extinct before any detectible ship came within 100 million kilometers of Earth. A small, capsule-sized probe, dropped over any part of the planet and winds to carry the contagion to the biosphere.Aliens capable of traversing the stars would be patient and not in any rush. They'd not need be. They'd simply annihilate us with biology. And then wait for us to die.
Would we really not stand a chance against an alien invasion?
Who knows? Depends on the Aliens themselves. Just because they may have developed a Space travel technology does not necessarily mean that they are ahead of us in EVERY Scientific field---After all, their History would be ENTIRELY different. Different things invented in a different sequence than our own---or never at all. They may have great space ships, but backwards computers. Their military tactics might be inferior to our own, They might not have studied our psychology enough to know who we really are., etc. etc. Its really hard to tell who might have an edge--us or them. Of course if they are a few thousand years a head of us, or a million, they would be advanced in all fields above us., but if only a century or so, we might still have a technological edge in areas where their history of discovery might not match our own.
Zombie apocolypse, alien invasion, or robot uprising?
if i had to choose i would go with robot uprising zombies smell really bad. and i hate stinky stuff, plus super gross and i have a weak stomach aliens are too fond of anal probs and i dont go for that stuff but robot uprising is easy to take care of i would grab my old computer with the viruses on it. then i would link it to the world wide web and let it rip. within moments all the robots would be infected. they would all freeze up. the ones that managed to survive i go around in a fire engine spraying them with water, hey if a puppy peeing on a lap top ruins it, then i got to think a fire engine spray would as work. after that i would round up all the robot bodies and arrange them like stone hendge. and sell admission. it would be big around halloween. and with my profits i would buy a double wide trailer and live happy ever after
What if there was an Alien invasion?
What if there was an alien invasion does the government have some plans to protect us? I know this is kinda dumb but "Did you that we sent out a message" revealing that we exist and that we want a reply. Hehe I know its kinda wild but it is plausible. If the civilization we encounter is hostile then were in trouble.
Will we see World War 3 happen in our lifetime? Do you think future generations will see it?
If it happens, it will be due to someones stupidity. What concerns me most is Irish Saint Malachy O'Morgaire accurately predicted the date of his own death. In 1139 AD he also accurately predicted the identities of all 112 future Popes. According to his prediction, the next Pope will be the last.
