If Your 11 And You Weight 114 Pounds Is That Bad

If I'm 11 years old and I weigh 141 pounds, am I fat?

You have not given enough information to give good guidance. You can search for a Body Mass Index (BMI) calculator to get a better idea.BUT, at your age, your hormones are changing. Your body will change a lot and sometimes quickly. What if you grew 2–3 inches, how would you see yourself then?If you are really concerned, talk to your doctor. They will place you on a chart that shows how you compare with other children.

I am 11 and weight 90-98 pounds. Am I OK?

Perfectly fine, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Focus on being happy, doing well in school, and being creative. Please don’t give your weight another thought until you older. You are perfectly fine.

I’m 11. I’m 104 pounds and 5 feet. Am I overweight?

If you go according to the adult BMI scale you will be considered to have a “normal” weight if the calculation is between 18.5 and 24.9. For example, at 95 lbs. an adult woman your height would be about 18.5, or bordering on underweight. At 127 lbs she would be about 24.9, or bordering on overweight. However, you are 11, no where near adulthood, even if the people on Quora might think you are mature enough. Thus, you shouldn’t base your current health on how much you should weigh a decade from now. However, you should keep in mind that growing up involves weight gain. So please don't avoid normal weight gain as you grow up.As an 11 year old girl, you would need a BMI of 21, or about 107 lbs to be overweight. If you have additional questions about your weight I suggest talking to your parents, school nurse, or family doctor. There are many other contributing factors to your health, and weight, like your diet and amount of exercise. Too little activity and poor diet choices are the main reasons so many Americans are overweight. Keep that in mind if you start to worry about your weight and health, then eat fewer sweets and treats, and more fruits and vegetables. Then, you would not need to worry about it and live a happy, healthy life.

I am 11-years-old and weigh 115 pounds. Is that bad?

Hi,Nothing is black or white, it is not bad.I don’t think anyone can assume anything by your statement. You do not say if you are male or female, what height you are etc. When i was 11 i was the same height I am now as an adult. Puberty hit me like a truck, and over night i put on a lot of weight. I was heavier than you. I felt bad about it.I remember the difficult feelings of puberty mixed with shame of being bigger than all my peers. I was the only girl in my primary school to wear a bra!Talk about awkward! this stage of your life may be full of awkwardness, its a right of passage. You will come through it.If you have concerns, can you discuss it with an adult, if not a parent, maybe a teacher or a school counselor? 11 is a tough age, huge changes in your body , it sounds like you are struggling by the fact you are posting here.Things will balance out in the end, and if not you can take action when your body finds a balance.I would be very careful about dieting at your age. Eating disorders are rife at this stage, have compassion and gentleness for yourself. you are only beginning to discover who you are.Go well. :)

I am 12 year's old, and i weight about 114 pounds......Is that normal? or am i over weight?

It depends how tall you are and your stature. I'm 13 1/2, about 5' 2" and I weigh around 90 pounds but my 9 1/2 year old brother is about 4' 4" and weighs around 70 pounds and my 11 1/2 year old brother is about 4' 7" and weighs about 72 pounds. So it really depends...

If I'm 11 and should weigh somewhere between 80-90 pounds? If I weigh 120, am I way too fat?

If you’re 11, you’re too young to be on Quora accoring to their terms of service. And you are definitely too young to be asking strangers on the internet for advice about your weight and health. It’s dangerous, and it’s useless. You’re probably going to get different answers from different people, and none of those people have seen or measured you. None of those people know your growth history or you personal and family medical histories. None of those people can give you a good answer, but they probably will anyhow, and how are you, an eleven-year-old, going to know which answer is right? There is someone who can see and measure you, who does know your growth history and your personal and family medical histories. That person is your doctor. That’s who you need to ask about your weight. So stop asking strangers for their answers and ask your parent or guardian to call and make an appointment so you can ask your doctor.

How many pounds should a 11 year old girl weigh?

I reckon about 5.5 to 6 pounds 80 or 90 lbs?
and they should at least exercise more than 20 mins a day. An 11yr should not be worrying about her weight yet anyway.

I'm 10 years old, but 130 pounds. Am I overweight or fat?

I would not do drastic changes without consulting a doctor. That said, if you are overweight, it means your current diet is not optimal for your body. There are a few changes you can do that are very safe and easy. You don't provide much detail in your post, so I can only make assumptions.First, what do you normally drink? I know at your age I drank lots of sodas. One single can of soda has more sugar than an adult male should consume in an entire day. All the extra sugar just gets stored as fat. Consider drinking water instead. Not juice, not diet soda, just plain water.I also had candy and desert every chance I got. Consider skipping the desert or having some fruit instead. Many kids avoid vegetables. I know kids that have never had a salad until they were 20. Ideally one should eat vegetables in every single meal. Those are weight loss 101 tips. Those are low risk things you can do. No doctor will advice against those things. What you don't want to do is stop eating and starve yourself to lose weight. Not only it's not effective, but it is flat out dangerous. This is really where you want professional help. You are about to go through puberty, this makes it very easy for you to slim down, but you do need to improve your habits.Losing weight and keeping it off is hard work. It will mean permanent changes to your lifestyle. Changing any habit is hard work. You might read the advice above and think it would be to hard to do. The good news is that you get used to it. If you were to start today, a month from now it would be second nature to you.

I am 11. Why is it that I weigh 75-80 pounds, when all of my peers weigh around 100 or 120? Do I have something wrong with me?

Weight depends mainly on your height, not your age!I’m sure that you’re perfectly fine! If you're around 5′0, and your peers are around 5′4, of course they'll weigh more than you! Here is a chart to help you figure out what a healthy weight for your height is; ‘How Much Should I Weigh For My Height and Age?’I hope this helps!
