If your dad was a pureblood wizard and your mom a halfblood what would that make you?

If your mom is a halfblood and your dad a pureblood wouldn't you be a pure blood because you wouldn't be a halfblood your a muggle born because they aren't muggles but you wouldn't exactly be a pureblood

Is Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter a pureblood, Mud blood, half blood, or.....?

pure

If a pure blood marries a half-blood what that make their kids?

Harry Potter reference obviously

I'm just so excited about the movie coming out soon, but on the other hand sad about it ending.

So anyway since Harry and Ginny get married does that make their kids: Albus Severus, James Sirius and Lily Luna Potter 3/4 bloods? Or does that mean his kids are somehow pure blood because there is a small percent that the muggle blood would get passed down?

Is Harry Potter a half blood or a pure blood?

Harry Potter is a half-blood wizard. His father, James Potter was a pure blood, meaning completely 100% magical blood. Lily’s parents were both Muggles (not magical at all, not one bit), so Lily was called a muggle-born, even though she had magical blood somewhere in her ancestry. Magic definitely shows up even several generations later, and this must have been the case with Harry’s mother.(A memory Harry sees featuring Lily, his mom, (in fifth year) standing up to James Potter, his father…)I searched to see who on the Evans side had magical blood, but so far I have come up with no names, so imagine the surprise of the whole Evans family when the Hogwarts acceptance letter arrived. Rather than feeling abnormal about it, Lily’s parents were absolutely thrilled (according to Petunia, Lily’s older sister). They sent Lily on to Hogwarts school and she succeeded completely. Lily was exceptionally good at Potions and we know she must have been quite clever, since Horace Slughorn invited her to be a member of his unofficial “Slug Club”. Slughorn sought out the most exceptional students to attend his dinners.Harry and Hermione were invited to his dinners, years later. Harry, likely due to his fame, and Hermione because she really was the best student in her year. So Horace Slughorn did invite students who were famous or had influence due to who there relatives were, and not just the brightest in their year. But Lily Evans had nothing like that going for her, so she must have been quite bright, like Hermione. All this to say, that is isn’t the amount of magical blood someone possesses that determines their trajectory in life. It is how clever and ambitious and hard-working. Harry worked hard (not as much as Hermione, but he took his studies seriously and wanted to be an auror, and they are the top of their class). So it didn’t really matter much that Harry was not a pure blood wizard. Besides, the one who was into keeping only 100% inbred magical people in the wizarding community, was Voldemort.

If Harry Potter's Mom Is Muggle-Born and His Dad's a Pure Blood, Does That Make Harry a Half-Blood?

Yes because even though lily was a witch she still has muggle blood making Harry a half-blood. :)

Is Harry Potter Half-Blood or Pure-Blood? How?

Technically he is half-blood his mother was born into a muggle family... think if Ron(a pure blood) and Hermione (a "mudblood"-i know bad term) were to have a kid technically he would be half blood because of Hermione's muggle birth.

Are Harry and Ginny's kids half-blood or pure-blood?

Half-blood. Purebloods have all four wizard-born grandparents. Wizard-born meaning born to at least one wizard (ie: half-bloods and purebloods). Harry and Ginny’s kids have 3 wizard-born (pureblood) grandparents (James, Arthur and Molly) and one muggle-born grandmother (Lily). But if Harry and Ginny’s kids married a pureblood or half-blood with both wizard-born parents, their grandchildren would be pureblood. For example: if James II marries a pureblood, his kids would have 4 wizard-born grandparents (since Harry is wizard-born).Another example: Teddy Lupin is half-blood (because he has two muggle/muggle-born grandparents), but his kids with Victoire Weasley would be purebloods. This is because all four of their grandparents (Remus, Tonks, Bill and Fleur) are wizard-born wizards (at least half-blood and above). But this is technical. Fanatic people would only consider people with no traceable muggle heritage as purebloods.

In Harry Potter, if a pure-blood and a half-blood have a child, is that child a halfblood or pureblood?

The child will be a half-blood. Rather than the blood status of the individual parents, their entire ancestry is taken into account when blood status is given. For example, both James and Lily and magical, but Harry is still a half-blood. This is because Lily's ancestry is full of muggles.Similarly, the children of Harry and Ginny will also be half-bloods, since Harry has muggle ancestry on his mother's side.Of course, only direct ancestry is taken into account - that is your parents, grandparents and so on. It doesn't matter if your aunt or uncle or cousin are muggles or married into muggles. Arthur Weasley has a second cousin who is a muggle, but the Weasley's are still considered as pure-blood since they are not directly related. For example, if Sirius Black married some distant Weasley cousin, his child would be pure-blood. Even though the Black family tree has half-bloods in it (Nymphadora), it wouldn't count as she is not directly related to Sirius. So Pureblood + Pureblood = Pureblood (Ron Weasley).Pureblood + Half-blood = Half-blood (Albus Severus Potter).Pureblood + Muggle = Half-Blood (Harry Potter).Half-Blood + Muggle = Half-Blood. (Though I don't known an example).Muggle + Muggle = Muggle-born (or the more vulgar 'Mudblood') (Hermione Granger).

Is Harry Potter a Mud-Blood or Pure-Blood?

While it's tempting to say Harry is a Mud-Blood because he grew up under non-magical guardians, or because his mother was Muggle-born, he isn't.

Harry Potter is a Pure-Blood because both of his parents were magical. Lily Potter, although herself a Mud-Blood, was magical. James Potter, was also magical, thus giving Harry two magical parents.

(This is why Draco Malfoy could never use the term on Harry because it simply wasn't true!)

Hermione Grainger, on the other hand, is a Mud-Blood because she is a magical child that grew up in a non-magical household with non-magical parents.
