Im Going To Thailand For 9 Weeks In November Would

What route is best to travel Thailand for 2 weeks?

It would be great if you’re traveling through south east Asia and enter Thailand from the border with Laos, in such case you’d enter the country through the north and can make your way down to the islands in the south going through Bangkok first. In the north you can start by visiting Nong Khai (only if you’re crossing from Laos)Or start in the north in Chiang Mai and Chiang Raithen you can easily make your way to Bangkok by train, and also visit nearby destinations such as Ayutthaya or Pattaya among othersAfter you’re done here you can head to the south, that’s where those paradise like beaches and limestone peaks areYou can get to the south by taking trains and ferries or a flight which is more convenient. After living in Asia for almost 4 years now and having visited many countries in Asia, I must say that Thailand really is special, every part of the country has something to offer. If you want to read more about places to visit in Thailand and how to get there, you might be interested in this A Beautiful Trip Through Thailand it’s a post I put together about traveling through ThailandBest,Eulises Quintero

My wife and I are going to Thailand for 5 days after spending a 3-4 days each in Tokyo and Hong Kong. Should we go to Phuket or Koh Samui?

If you are not traveling in the months of Late September to to Early November, I will say,Koh Samui.Reason being that Phuket is more of a Touristy place which is crafted keeping families & backpackers in mind. There still are things you can do as a couple but you’ll find no more romantic getaway destination than Koh Samui. It also depends on your months of your travel & your interests. To give you a general idea -Phuket is the biggest city in the south with breathtaking viewpoints, immersive cultural shows and a nightlife wild enough to match Pattaya’s. You can take day trips to islands in the neighboring Phang-Nga Bay and also experience water-sports like scuba diving, kayaking and sometimes surfing. Phuket has a major airport, a busy bus station and a ferry pier.Season not favorable for visit -> July to OctoberKoh Samui on the other hand is one of the most romantic places in Thailand and a major honeymoon destination. It has superb beaches, world class spas and some lovely restaurants. There are places you can indulge in the rowdy nightlife as well. Samui is also a great place to spend time with your family. A popular day tour is to the Ang-Thong marine national park. You can get in by air or ferry.Season not favorable for visit -> September to Early NovemberNow the reason why I recommended Koh SamuiWhile you’re there with the love of your life, there are plenty of romantic excursions, outings, and activities that will have you feeling more amorous than ever.To name a few -Watch the sunset together from beautiful Lamai and Chaweng Beaches.Take a boat tour Island with your soulmate.Take a Yoga Class o Thai massage together.Have an amazing & relaxing dinner at the beach. There are just a few options of things you can do in Koh Samui, I hope that helps :)If you need to know any information about the land of smiles or wants to plan a trip to Thailand in the coming future “Ithaka App” is your best fried. Going to Thailand with family. Phuket, Krabi, or Ko Samui?

It really depends on what you want to do. If you want tons of shopping and a more modern infrastructure, Phuket and Samui are the two islands to go to. If you want to relax with fewer tourists around, staying in Krabi would be the better option (I have been to all and/or have lived in all of them).

Samui is a little more difficult in some ways because the only way to get off the island is by plane or ferry; Phuket, while an island, does give you the opportunity to drive off over a bridge.

Note: One factor to consider would be the rainy season. May-end of October is pretty rainy in Phuket and Krabi, whereas the rainy season in Samui is generally November-February or so.

Some travel guides and tips for the islands are below.

Why is my ankle still swollen after I sprained it 9 weeks ago?

9 weeks ago I sprained my ankle on the trampoline... went to the hospital an hour after I sprained it and after having x rays taken, the doctor said it looks like a grade 3 sprain. I was given a compression brace and crutches and took EXCELLENT care of my ankle. Followed RICE like it was my job. Didn't walk on it at all for almost 2 full weeks, continued to wear the brace up until week 7. My ankle is STILL swollen. Now, it has gone down. And I can walk with no pain... it just feels EXTREMELY tight. Why is it still swollen after 9 weeks? Is that normal?

I’m going to China for 2 weeks how much money should I bring?

Everyone would say it depends on what you do and where you go….If you’re only going to Beijing, and you’re sightseeing on your own, bring about US$50 per day in cash in Renminbi. Use the cash for taxis, subways and meals around town. FYI, for $50/day, that’s about 300–350 renminbi per day. With that kind of money, you’re eating at mom/pop restaurants, and street food. You can use WeChat to pay online if you have a bank account tied to your wechat account. Not sure you can use ApplePay, but you might try it. Western hotel chains like the Hilton or the Marriott will accept Amex/Visa/Mastercard. Chinese hotels stick with UnionPay. Taxis accept cash or wechat pay
