Is 16 too old to learn a new language?
No. 16 is young.
Can i i learn a new language in the Navy without becoming a linguist?
I've pretty much made up my mind to go into the navy, i just have to wait till my SR year in highschool to sign my contract, im a Jr right now. But i was wondering if i can take classes to learn a new language while in service. I would love to learn japanese, right now i speak english of course and im in the middle of learning spanish. But i do not want to be a linguist,im planning on going for EOD.
Trying to learn Spsnish but it's insanely hard?
So Im twenty-one years old and Im trying to learn Spanish. I've been taking one class so far and it's alright but I have been learning more on my own. The problem is everyone speaks so fast it's impossible to fully understand even one sentence that they're saying. I've been at it for about a month and a half not long I know but I just wish it wasn't so frustrating. I hope to become fluent one day so I can finally have a conversation with my girlfriends family which I know nothing about them because they don't speak any English. It's just so hard to remember all the rules,verb tenses,infinitives, when words change, words that have many different meanings. It makes my head explode trying to understand it all. I mean there has got to be an easier way. I know Im not going to learn overnight but it is just so hard to learn for me that I can't get motivated sometimes.
