In Present Year 2014 Which Country Is Enemy Of Italy

Which countries are allied with the US?

Ally, despite having only four letters, is such a big word.Objectively, one could say that American allies are those that have signed a mutual defence treaty with the United States. Those treaties vary quite a bit in their terms and obligations, but mostly obligate a signatory country to come to the aid of the other(s) if an attack occurs.By far, the most important military alliance the United States is in is NATO. With 28 states and spanning the North Atlantic, it is comprised of almost all of western Europe, many countries in eastern Europe, all the way to Turkey. There are a few more alliances, though - Japan, Australia, the Philippines and  South Korea all have binding collective security arrangements with the US.Israel has such extensive military and political ties with the US that, despite there not being such a treaty in force, one could call it an ally. There is a treaty, still officially in force, called the Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance, or the Rio Pact, establishing a collective security arrangement throughout the Americas. This treaty, however, is thought to be mostly valid on paper only, ever since the United States sided with the UK over Argentina in the Falklands war.The United States has an official designation for its allies outside NATO - Major non-NATO ally. This is not, however, a very firm standing, and, due to winds of political change, some allies quickly become rivals.Argentina, for instance, is one of them, despite having been increasingly critical of the US in recent years. In truth, alliances mostly last only to the point in which the mutual interests remain mutual. In that case, one could say that America's strongest allies are the ones with the most shared interests and shared values - and certainly the developed English-speaking democracies of the world are among them - Canada, the UK and Australia, for example. There are, however, a host of other countries, that, even if not necessarily formal allies, and even if there are occasional disagreements between them and the US, can be considered friendly and that share many common values with the US - India, Brazil and Mexico, for example. These are countries that, in the American point of view, promote their interests, be it in maintaining regional stability, such as in Brazil's case, be it in providing a counterweight to China's rise in Asia, such as in India's.

Would it have been better for justice if Italy had a death penalty like the US?

Italy is one of the strongest opponents of the death penalty.

What will happen to the American military when they are no longer engaged in any wars?

I live in the US & I'm considering joining the military. I know Obama withdrew troops from Iraq a while ago & the troops in Afghanistan are leaving in 2014. Once the US is no longer at war, what will happen to the military? I know there will obviously still be one, incase another war ever breaks out. However, until then what happens? Do they just sit around & twiddle their thumbs? It seems like the military will just be a giant job program; meaning the government is just paying for some program (the military) to offer jobs to people. Thoughts?

Why do people hate the military?

So I'm 17 and a senior in high school, anyway I have a Instagram about the US Military and it does well, I have about 3000 followers and I just post Badass pictures. Anyway i plan on enlisting in the Army after high school. I have a question, why do people make fun of the military? Like people in my school as you can say "make fun" of my Instagram and it's just ******* stupid? I don't care what people think at all but I just don't understand why people could show so much disrespect to the Military. I mean I'm not saying join and be a die hard Soldier, but I just don't get why stupid ignorant Fuc*ers are disrespect our troops, and the very people who fight for there freedom? Who the fu*k does **** like that and why?
