Like the last two because it has a diamond in it and I would be the first one to ever give her a diamond anything, let alone from Tiffany's.

What is the best method of cleaning sterling silver?

You can use toothpaste to clean off tarnish. Coat the silver with toothpaste, then run it under warm water, and work it into a foam. Rinse off. For stubborn stains or where is a lot of hare to reach places, use a soft toothbrush. or

badly tarnished? cover the inside bottom of a glass heat proof dish and place a piece of aluminum foil, shiny side up inside it. Put the tarnished items in the bottom of the dish and add 1tablespoon of baking soda, and then slowly pour boiling water over it until it covers the pieces. Tarnish will gradually collect on the aluminum foil and clean the sterling.

Where can I find a sterling silver Wizard of Oz charm bracelet? Already tried Ebay.?

I have linked some sites that sell wizard of oz charm bracelets. I know that some are the same, but the prices may differ, so I linked them anyway. I hope this helps....

How well does sterling silver hold up in engagement and wedding rings?

My boyfriend and I have been looking at rings. We've decided to put his birthstone, peridot, in my engagement ring. It has a lot of meaning for us because it's also the month we met and the month we hope to get married. He wants to surprise me with the actual setting but wanted some choices so I gave him 6 different settings. My favorite is this one: http://www.jegem.com/1/singleproduct.aspx?SKU=AJR273010&SH=A=Peridot%20Jewelry~B=Peridot%20Jewelry~C=1~D=32~G=1580^1~I=FinalPrice~K=4~L=1~M=2~N=5~&LAP=0&SC=&Action=4&Page=0&Category=August%20Birthstone%20-%20Peridot%20Jewelry&thumbbgcolor=fdfff7&bgcolor=fdfff7

And I found these matching wedding bands with customized fingerprints inside. We talked about writing inside the rings but I like this idea better (haven't talked to him about it though)

But all three rings have sterling silver as the metal. I don't mind the tarnish on silver, I think it gives jewelry an antique look and as I grow old and mature my ring will grow old and mature with me. Will that last our whole lives or will it wear down through the years? And opinions of the rings would be appreciated before I show my beau

Tiffany necklace-- how can I restore the shininess of sterling silver pendant?

You could either bring it back to the jewelers or you try droping it in lemon juice and then using a special cloth to restore its shine

Wipe your pieces with a soft cloth. When cleaning sterling silver remember that it is a very soft metal and can easily be marred. 100% cotton is best, other materials often contain wood fibers or synthetics. I recommed using a non-abrasive silver polish cloth at least once a month to keep your jewelry looking like new.

The best way to protect your sterling silver pieces from oxidizing is by keeping them in a sealed plastic bag when they are not being worn.

When oxidation does occur, you can use a silver polish cloth to restore the original shine, you should not use abrasive polish as it may scratch the dichroic glass. Pieces that have used glue to attach the glass should not be dipped into commercial silver dip liquids.

Body lotions, perfume, hairspray etc. will promote oxidation of silver.

Has anyone with a nickel allergy had a problem with the Tiffany Oval Pendant on wire necklace?

If you bought it at Tiffany, take it to another (non tiff) jeweler and ask what the band is made of. A non tiffany jewler will be able to tell you in a heartbeat.

Tiffany doesnt make crap, but maybe just the pendant is silver. If the band was silver, I would think it would get disfigured very easily, plain silver is not very strong... so maybe they just plaited it or blended it.

If it isn't silver, I would take it back to a physical store (not the website) with receipts and original packaging. And explain your concern. Knowing Tiffany, they would want you happy, so they would give you a refund or credit. If traveling is out of the picture, call their service number... which is found on the website.

this is shocking! I wanted to get my engagement ring from there... but if they are starting to crapp out... I may have to reconsider.

Should I buy a Tiffany & Co. necklace or bracelet?

My best friend bought me this http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?fromGrid=1&sku=25142888&mcat=148204&cid=563629&search_params=s+2-p+2-c+563629-r+-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+

for I think my 15th? birthday and I am now 18
I wear it literally ever day. I only take it off when I dye my hair lol.
BUT the charm bracelets are soo cute too. It really depends on if whether you wear necklaces or bracelets more. If you have a ton of necklaces to wear, I would probably get the bracelet because if you spend so much money on such a nice necklace, you're going to want to wear that most of the time! And vice A Versa lol
