In The State Of New Jersey Can A Husband Take His Wife Off Of His Life Insurance Policy As

Can you transfer a whole life insurance policy to another company?

I am unhappy with both the performance and service on a whole life insurance policy that I've had for about 11 years. Do I have any options? I'd never get the same rates now. I was told when sold the policy that dividends could pay the premium after 20 years...doesn't look like that is the case. Also, the cash value is LESS than the actual money i have put into it. Is this normal or do I have a crappy policy?

Can I take myself off of my separated husband's life insurance policy?

How did he raise the your life insurance limit? Is the coverage through his employer? I don't see how he could raise the limit without you knowing unless the life insurance was through his employer. If the life insurance is through your husband's employer there is nothing you can do.

If the life insurance is not through his employer, then are you on his policy as a "spouse rider"? If you are you are part of his policy and there is nothing you can do about that either. And, since either way, the policy is his and he has the right to name the beneficiary whoever he wants.

Sorry, not to give you any options here, but getting your own life insurance policy now is impossible.

I think it is time for you to have a long talk with your spouse. See if you can have a friend talk to him. Or, find a "free legal aid" attorney. Ask an attorney if it is more beneficial for you to stay married or divorced. Find out which way gives you and your daughters more rights. Try to have a sit down meeting with your spouse to see if he will do the right thing.

You need to seek counseling with a professional or seek an attorney. You need professional advice. You should repost your question under the "legal" category. A trust might be a good thing to set up. Please repost your question. See if there is any free legal aid in your area. You might want to post your state for some referrals.

And, apply for medi-cal to get help with the medical bills. Good Luck.

Can my husbands ex wife collect on his life insurance policy?

And to the people who think's I'm trying to BUMP off my husband, "YOU ARE WRONG". I've been with my husband many years before we were married and I'm the BREAD winner in our marrige. His ex wife is always begging for money and liying about thing's the child needs just to get extra money. He pay's his child support on time every week, and the child suppoert order is well over $900.00 weekly. And when the child ask for anything my husband pays for it, but his ex wife will tell's my husband that the child needs thing's and when my husband ask the child about what he needs the child always sez he never asked for it. So the ex wife is using the child to get money from my husband for her self, all she talk's about is money. So sure I would hate for my husbands ex wife to get one cent after he's gone. I dont like to think about him passing on one day, but everyone should always plan for the future. After your gone no one will be able to say what their husband or wife really wanted.

Suicide by cop? Will life insurance pay?

Recently, and all too frequently, I've read about troubled people who put themselves into positions where law enforcement has no choice but to shoot to kill. The last one was a 43 year old man with a pellet gun who called police and announced that he was going to kill his family. Many policies, and all newly issued policies, will not pay benefits for suicide. But if the police shoot the insured while he is obviously mentally ill will his beneficiary be paid? Could they be denied claiming the insured was committing a felony? Is it accidental death and possibly double indemnity?

Separate business insurance policy for assumed name (dba)?

Maybe both.

Yes, on some package policies I've written, with 'common ownership', the list of "named insured" businesses operating under the one umbrella, has been very extensive. But this is generally for LARGE accounts, for example, like someone who owns 8 malls, 4 restaurants, 6 grocery stores, etc. LARGE package policies.

If your photographer's insurance is on a BOP, a business owners policy rather than a package, it's quite possible that you cannot add a different business type, retail, to a service type BOP policy. It's also possible that the insurance company you have your business insured through, flat out doesn't write retail shops.

Or, maybe it IS possible, but you have an inexperienced agent (not likely, if you're truly talking to the COMPANY) who is giving you bad information.

You also should maybe be asking, is there a package policy available where we can write both businesses, with "common ownership" (you'll need to use that phrase) onto the same package.

Not knowing what TYPE of policy you have, or the carrier, it's impossible to really answer this accurately, though. It really could be any of the above.

Married couple health insurance living in two different states?

It is possible if you have the right plan.

You don't want an HMO because you cannot go outside the doctor network. These networks are specific to your area.

A PPO would work because you can go outside the network. However, your costs will be higher and with most plans the out of network deductible and co-insurance is separate and higher.

An indemnity plan does not have networks so you can go to any doctor. However, the premium is usually 30% - 50% higher than a PPO.

The biggest problem is very few PPO or indemnity plans have maternity coverage. Those that do - if you do the math you'll find the extra premium in most cases is more than if you paid cash for the delivery. Almost all individual plans cover complications of pregnance, such as a C-section, even if they don't cover maternity.
