Can I connect my ps3 to the internet with my phone?
If you are using a smartphone with Wi-Fi feature, then go to the settings and search for WiFi Hotspot or any similar name and turn it on. If needed you can even keep WPA/PSK security, it doesn’t matter. Then go to your PS3 connection options and scan for WiFi. It should pop up the name of your hotspot. Connect and give password. Done.BTW why do you want your PS3 to connect to your phone?! The bills will rip the roof! The PS3 has capacity to take 1 GB in just 30 mins through just gaming! Think twice before pulling this stunt.
Internet disconnects when Im updating PS3 games?
I created a Connectify connection linking up my pc modem to my PS3. While trying to update some game which requires big updates (439mb) the internet connection on my pc automatically disconnects when the update is about 50%. Please help

The title is self explanatory. I want to know what happens if I my PS3 gets turned off while it is updating firmware and I disconnect from the internet. I know that if you keep a connection to the internet it will restart the update, but I can't keep wandering what happens in special situations. Does it brick or does it go back to an old firmware?

First off, thanks for the A2A!Now, secondly, this has happened to me, twice. I know, lucky. Anywho, this has happened to me during downloading a COD. It had around 15 minutes left. And then my electric goes. Now when that goes your internet will usually take a bit of time to come back online. But back to the story. 15 minutes left and it goes. This had took a few hours and I was really mad. However when it came back. I was expecting to see around 6–7 hours, (I can't remember how long), but I only seen half an hour. I was really happy, confused, but happy. Basically, it saves what part of the application has already been downloaded, so for example. If your internet goes, then it would've already saved. There is a little feature where it cuts it too what it needs. You may be lucky. In firmware 2.50, Sony released a hidden recovery menu. 1. Turn off Playstation®3. 2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again. 3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps 4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button. 5. You will be promted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button 6. The Recovery menu will pop up. One of the menu options is the ability to do a firmware upgrade. This should fix the console. Unless you haven't regularly kept it updated. This update came out in about october. Good luck :)
