Iphone Got Really Hot After Charging And Won

Is it normal for my phone to get really hot when charging?

Its definitely not normal. There must be a problem with the USB cable if you are using the stock charger, otherwise the charger must be faulty. If you are using a charger made for any other device please stop using as it may damage your phone. If you are using a turbo charger from any company(Qualcomm or OPPO or whatever), please do not use those on your non supported phones.Okay. the hardware circuitry is very easy to understand. If your charger is providing more current than assigned then the current control circuit will limit the current to the assigned or lower and will dissipate the extra current as heat. This results in heating. The other reason can be if your charger’s USB cable is faulty and there is port head mismatch between the heads of the USB cable and Charger or USB cable and Phone.

My IPhone is really hot?!?

My iPhone's battery has been lowering faster than normal today. I've had to put it on the charger twice since this morning, after it was charged and not used last night. I had a very thin case on it, and had it on the charger for the 3rd time. After about 5-10 minutes. The case was hot, so I took it off and my iPhone was extremely hot on the back. I think it might have cooled down slightly, but not very much, if at all. I just notched that the screen is also hot. I feel like it's going to overheat.
What does this mean? I still have the warranty.

Is it safe for the charger to get hot while charging a cell phone?

Not hot, no. It will get warm and maybe quite warm but if you touch it and you are surprised by how warm it is, unplug it and let it cool down.If it's hot enough that you don't want to touch it even if it's not painful, unplug it immediately. Take it and your phone somewhere that can advise you about it.An even bigger problem is if the battery in the phone gets seriously hot. Lithium ion batteries can start on fire or explode given certain conditions. They have been made very safe from these situations but don't take chances. I don't mean just very warm but uncomfortably hot.

My phone sometimes gets hot while charging and sometimes not. Why does that happen?

Your phone will always have a temperature rise while charging but sometimes it gets relatively hotter. The factors generally affecting this could be ;Background apps(more the number, more the heat)Wifi and mobile data( keeping them on makes the phone hotter)Location services being onPoor network signalNow if all the above cases are negative and still you find a disparity, this could be because of the following reasons ;The temperature of the surroundingAir flow and ventilation at the place your phone rests while chargingThe protective case being put onThe position in which you rest your phone( yeah, it makes a difference!!) resting your phones battery side up and screen side down heats up your phone a bit less as when done vice versa. And finally this could be the defect of your phone’s firmware, battery or due to the dust and moisture inside your phone. And if the problem persists and the screen is also getting hot, you should take it to a nearby service centre.

My phone gets super hot while charging?

Sorry to hear you are having this issue.

The best way to charge a cellular battery is to charge it till it is full then unplug it. The charges sould only charge the device till it is full however overnight depending on what the phone is processing it could be in a drain/recharge cycle all night which wears the battery out That being said is should only take 30-45 min to charge. It's also best to use the original manufactures cables and wall chargers for this as after market chargers can cause the type of issues you are talking about.

You might need a new battery, if you end up buying one don't spend more than $15 they should be cheap on ebay or amazon.

Going forward think of a battery as having a limited amount of charges in a lifetime. Every time you charge it its one charge closer to the end, the better you manage the power the longer it lasts.

Charger is getting pretty hot. Making my phone hot?

I have an iPhone 4. I got it two months ago so it's still pretty new.

Anyways... My phone was getting hot so I felt the wall plug in part and it seemed warm so I unplugged the USB part to feel it and when I felt it, it burned just a little cuz of how hot it was.

I need to charge my phone as I have a busy day tomorrow and I need to keep it near me since I have alarms set to wake up.

Will it be okay plugged in if its that warm or what should I do? Charge it til 100% take it off til morning then charge it in another outlet while I get ready or what?
