Do fuel injector cleaner actually work?
Chevron Techron is the only product that goes in the gas tank to clean injectors that I would use. 3M makes a product that comes in a pressurized can and has to be hooked up to the fuel line with special equipment to use it. If you're having problems with your motor and think it's the fuel injectors disconnect the wiring harness to the injectors and ohm test each injector to see if they are all close to the same resistance. With the clean gasoline being refined now days I doubt it's a dirty injector problem. What are your fuel trim readings?
What happen if you put 2 bottles of Fuel Injector Cleaner in your car ? Will it harm the car ?
It may cause your vehicle to run rough for awhile until you burn some of the gas out of the tank , i've seen it clog up the fuel filter , because of all the dirt that it breaks loose from inside of the fuel tank. Other wise you should be ok to run it though your fuel system.
Can i use fuel injector cleaner on my car with carburetor?
I know it sounds like a stupid question, but i have extra fuel injector cleaner in my closet and now i have a 1981 mercedes benz 280e with a carburetor SO can i use the fuel injector cleaner on my benz to clean it out of is that a no go?
Fuel injection cleaning?
They may do one of two things;1. clean the fuel injectors while still in the car.. with this they use a HIGHLY PRESSURIZED hose with solvents OR 2.they may (and for 90 bucks this one is most likely what they will do ) remove the injectors and clean them, An off-car cleaning requires expensive equipment but it should take less than an hour. if you don't believe it look it up on the web.. professionally serviced fuel injector cleaning is way more than just them dumping fuel injector cleaner in your gas tank. its guaranteed to bring your car back to excellent performance and gas mileage..its NOT a rip off.
