Is A Little Blood After Stretching Your Ears Okay

Ears bled after stretching/gauging. help?

Hey Dont Worry About It, I just recently skipped from a 4 to a 0 and trust me, skipping is not cool, i thought it wouldnt be so bad but it was, when i skipped my lobe started bleeding profusely, like the blood ran all the way to my neck and was dripping in the sink, what i did was i went back to my old size and waited until the pain went away, then after feeling right about it i decided to try it again...the best thing to do is to take it slow, because before my skip i sized up regularly and didnt skip, i waited until the pain was gone and i felt comfortable to size up, i also waited until i had enough money to buy new ones, lol so i would say about a month,...soo never ever skip again and wait until your comfortable ...go with your gut.

I stretched my ear and its swollen with some puss and blood also?

I stretched my ear on Monday from 5/8s to 3/8s and on that day it was hurting I couldn't sleep for a while I kept moving in bed then I woke up like at 2:00 a.m and it was hurting so I took a ibuprofen and went back to sleep, the next day later on towards the night it got puss and bloody and swollen, now it's been like 2 days and its still bloody swollen and has puss, I tried taking one off earlier today sort of but it hurt so I just left them and i put pro oxide around it, i don't know what to do and I'm kind of nervous? Is it okay or like what? Can someone please help me? Thank You.

Slight bleeding while stretching ears?

It's definitely normal, just make sure you keep it clean and clean it often. If it starts to get swollen it might be best to take them out for a while.

What do I do if my ears are bleeding after stretching?

So I went to the mall to buy 10g and 8g pinchers and plugs. I went home that day and my ears were completely healed. I put in the 10s. They sipped in ike nothing, so I tried the 8s and there was no way they were going through. I waited about 3 days then put the 8s in. They hurt like a *****. Later on, I took them out to switch them with the plugs. My left ear was bleeding and when I touched my ears it hurt. The plugs weren't going in so I downsized to 10 and tried the next day. The next day, they slid in with a bit of resistance. I kept them in for a whole day, and today I tried switching them with the plugs but this time, my right ear was bleeding and there was a little dry blood when I woke up. I have been soaking them in sea sat and cleaning them regularly. I downsized a few minutes ago back to 12g. What should I do?

Ear Stretching Help / Slight Bleeding?

Hello =) I have encountered my 1st problem in stretching my ears. I recently stretched up to a 2g and my right ear is sore and was slightly bleeding. This is strange because the 4g to 2g stretch actually didn't hurt that bad. I feel that I might of done some damage because I might have pushed the taper through a little too fast in the right ear. Once my ears weren't sore anymore I went out and bought some Kaos Softwear ear plugs which are super comfortable. I popped those in and once I got home from work the next day I noticed my right ear was sore and I noticed there was a tiny bit of blood on the plug. Now that I've cleaned them and put my acrylic plugs back in the bleeding has stopped but they are still very sore and sensative. My question is what do I do from here. Should I keep the Kaos plugs in since they're very soft and comfortable and just treat it as if it were a fresh piercing and constantly clean it? I ordered some of that Holey Butt'r a while ago so it should be here soon so I'd imagine that would help alot. I plan on massaging my ears with that. I do not plan on stretching my ears again for a while now that this has happened. I WILL NOT downsize. Please don't ask me to because for the 1st time I absolutely love the way my ears look, and it finally looks like I actually have stretched ears. =) Thanks for any help you can provide.

First time stretching ear lobes.. bleeding?

OKAY! Stretching education 101.

1. You've gone up way too fast. 2mm should be the third size you go to, not the first!
2. Tapers ARE NOT jewellery! It's like drilling a hole for a screw, and leaving the drill bit in there. You want to get the tapers out and suitable jewellery in. Suitable jewellery is not doubled flared or acrylic. Tapers also increase the chances of blowouts and tearing due to the added movement of a stupidly long piece of jewellery.
3. If a stretch is hurting or bleeding, it's your body's way of saying, stop it! Stretching should never, ever be painful or bleed. A small amount of pressure is fine, but if you require blunt force to get it through, your ear just isn't ready!

Here are the standardised healing times, and how long you wait in between stretch sizes.

Fresh piercing to first stretch: Approx 5 to 6 months
16g to 14g - 1 month
14g to 12g - 1 month
12g to 10g - 1.5 months
10g to 8g - 2 months
8g to 6g - 3 months
6g to 4g - 3 month
4g to 2g - 3 months
2g to 0g - 4 months
0g to 00g - 4 months

In short. Downsize to 1.6mm, DO NOT wear tapers as jewellery, get some proper jewellery. Do not skip sizes.

It's swollen because you've forced it through and you have inappropriate jewellery of an inappropriate material in there. Get some titanium or glass.

Hope this helps.

Is swelling after stretching your ears normal?

It will probably be sore for a few days, but I'd wait on taking the taper out. Do not put in any other kind of jewelry until the piercing stops hurting. If you feel you can bare it, put in a steel tunnel, don't use wood or silicon. These have little holes in them where bacteria will be trapped, and you could get an infection. Slide the surgical steel tunnel in directly after the taper. Your lobes should never be bright red or swollen for more than a few hours-- if they are, take the piercing out immediately. You'll have to stretch back up.

Ears bleeding after gauging/stretching?

that is NOT normal. it IS common however. too many young people stretch too much, too fast and tearing occurs. you wouldn't necessarily notice it while the plug is in because it holds pressure on the wound, preventing it from bleeding while it heals. that tearing will create excessive scar tissue and make future stretches that much more difficult. (scar tissue does not stretch like regular skin.) and it will also make it less likely that the holes could go back to normal.
so, you have two choices. you can downsize or not. either way, you should not be removing the plug to clean the hole. when you stretch, you put the larger size in and leave it in until its healed. do saline soaks 2-3 times a day. that's it. taking it out and putting it back in is bad for it, as evidenced by the blood.
byw, there really should never be any bleeding when stretching. that's always an indication that your tissue is not ready to accept the stretch. and pain should be limited to just a pinch, if any

Ears are bleeding after gauging my ears?

So I just went from a size 8 to a 6 about 2 days ago and it hurt a lot, I figured it was normal since it was the first of one of the "big jumps" but then I took them out today to clean them and it was all crusty and they started to bleed I put them back in but I don't know If I should take them out and put in my 8 size or just leave them in?
