Is Cardio Bad After A Workout If You

Should I wash my hair after a workout/cardio?

I have naturally curly hair and it doesn't get oily easily. I usually shower my hair every 2-3 days but after doing some cardio everyday and sweating should I take a shower? I just don't want to shower my hair everyday after a workout, so what should I do? Is it bad not to shower my hair after a workout. Also can I just damp my hair and put some leave in conditioner after a workout? My hair is thick btw.

Can i do a cardio workout with my new tattoo?

Today is Wednesday. I got my first tattoo done on Sunday evening. The guy who did my tattoo did not tell me how to take care of my new tattoo. When I asked, he just gave me a tiny little paper that tells me to remove the bandage after 3 hours and to wash gently and not to rebandage it. So when I got home that night, I looked up some aftercare details and followed that. I THINK it's healing fine. I've been putting A&D for two days but the ink started to leak out so I put some frangrance free curel lotion starting today. The tattoo is located on my lower back on the right side. I've been wearing loose skirts to work for the pass two days but I wore pants today. Should that be okay? and another thing.. CAN I WORK OUT? I don't lift weights or anything. I just do alot of cardio to burn calories.. Please tell me I can work out.. Please..

Is it best to do cardio before or after your workout?

First, it's best to do them at seperate times. Whether it be on different days or time if the day. Personally (and I know many others do this as well), I do fasted cardio first thing in the morning. Then go in the gym and lift weights later in the day whenever I have time. This is best for three reasons: ensures you are giving 100% of your effort and energy into each one, faster recovery times, and protects your body from overtraining and possible muscle loss (if in a below maintenance calorie state). But if you don't have the time to do them seperate, it depends on your specific goal.If you are a runner or your goal pretains to running/cardio work (marathon, 5k, toughmudder, swimming, triathlon, etc.) then by all means do your cardio first to give that 100% attention and effort. Ensuring your muscles aren't fatigued. For someone looking to gain size, strength, or just overall look more fit, I would recommend doing weight lifting first. This will allow you to hit your muscles fresh when you are lifting them, maximizing your hypertrophy and strength gains. Then you can exhaust yourself and your muscles with cardio afterward, instead of having to half ass the weights because you're already sucking wind.In ConclusionWhen given the choice/option do them seperate. But if that's not possible look at your long term goals and decide what give 100% of your effort on. Personally, I've done the weight lifting then cardio when I've had to for the past 3 years and have made serious progress in muscle size and fat loss because of it.Want to learn more, get free workout routines, diet advice, motivation, and much more? Is too much cardio bad?

II am trying to loose fat.I usually do an hour of moderate cardio on the proctor ellliptical. I burn about 650 calories an hour. Its not so intense that I burn out which is why I can go long. Sometimes like 2-3 times a week, I do 1.5 hours of cardio. It feels great but is this bad for fat loss?

Is it bad to eat pizza 15 minutes after a cardio workout?

I did an hour of intense elliptical, and burned 1000 calories. I ate a slice of "The Works" pizza from Papa Johns, and a chicken strip, which equaled about 330 calories. My total intake for the day was about 1,100. Will this ruin everything I did at the gym, and should I work out some more?

Is it bad to workout after eating?

It is not bad at all. There is so much debate about when it is best to eat. In my experience and from all the research I've done, I think it is better to eat within 30 minutes of working out, especially protein. Your muscles will be searching to replenish their glycogen stores and protein is what they want. However, I also add whatever else I was planning for dinner (a healthy dinner, though, no sugars).

I normally eat a small snack before my workouts. You can eat a power bar (cliff/luna bars) or even a small fruit to give you the energy you need strictly for the workout (I eat a ketogenic style diet and don't use carbs or sugar for energy, so I normally eat a couple eggs, or a bunch of cheese before my workout, sometimes I won't eat at all before if my workout isn't going to be too intense). Then you just work out like normal and hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! After your workout, go ahead and eat!

If you prefer eating beforehand or if you are pressed for time and have to eat beforehand, then that is fine too! It is suggested that you eat about an hour and a half before your workout. This allows your food and nutrition to properly digest so you don't get sick and gives your body the necessary energy for the workout. If you find yourself feeling weak after, drink a powerade or gatorade to replenish electrolytes and make sure you hydrate during your workouts!

Is taking preworkout before a cardio workout bad for you?

In most cases you don’t really need a pre-workout supplement. Most of these do not really do anything special, other than load you on quick calories. A lot have too much carbs to my taste. Many have artificial colors and flavors in them (of which the less you take - the better). Some may contain beneficial supplements (BCAA or creatine), but you would be better off just taking them separately - that way you can precisely control what you are getting and restrict the stuff you don’t really need that can, actually, be detrimental. How to build muscle - the right way (Part II - supplements)
