Is Income Taxation And The Irs Legal

Income tax legal or illegal? FACTS ONLY W/ PROOF! NO OPINIONS!?

It has been stated that the 16'th amendment to the constitution makes income tax legal, HOWEVER a BETTER question is, can anyone link me to a site or shed some light on the issue of whether or not the 16'th amendment was RATIFIED?....I cant seem to find much info on it. And also I'd like to see the ACTUAL LAW....not some code made up by the IRS (did you ever notice that if you put the irs together it spells "theirs"...lol...funny) anywhoo, If anyone can help me find out more info on the whole income tax thing it'll be greatly appreciated, as my husband and I have been debating on the issue for months, and I'd like to win my 200 dollars already...lol...thanks.

Is the IRS a legal or illegal organization?

The constitution originally stated that income could not be taxed, however, this was temperarely changed during the civil war. As government bloated further, well after the war, this was permanently ignored. Look at church and state for example, christianity was supposed to have no influence on peoples lives, other than what was willingly self-imposed. However, christianity is now an enormous part of our government, with more power than any of us could imagine, and if you try to be an atheist like me, you quickly realize that freedom has not existed in nearly 150 years. Ever since lincoln we have had significantly fewer freedoms, and in the era after him, and during the 1950/1960s, the majority of our freedoms were erased. Anyone who opposes this ends up dead, imprisoned for life, or just mysteriously disappears.

The IRS has the legal power of the army behind them, you fight the IRS, no matter how illegal, disgusting, and wrong they are, you will be crushed like a bug under the jet of a launching space shuttle. There is no hope, unless you really can swing back with the publicity, strength, and power that they have. Someday someone will, but I fear that day will never come.

Is it legal to claim a god child or newphew on your income tax?

If the child lived with him for over half the year, then he might be able to legally claim the child as a qualifying child if it's his nephew. For his sister's friend's son, not related to him, he could only claim him if the child lived with him ALL year and your ex provided over half of the child's support - and even then, claiming him as his nephew would be illegal (there's no category of "godson" to claim a child), and if he's claiming EIC for the child, that would be illegal even if he could claim him as a dependent.

You could report him to the IRS. But odds are he's going to get caught anyway, and have to pay back what he got illegally plus interest and penalties. This year the IRS has been doing a lot of verification on people who claim nephews and other children not their own kids for EIC.

IRS Income Tax On Lottery Winnings?

I would just pay the taxes due. Nothing to lose any sleep over, you're still ahead. I once won $2300 on a single slot machine spin. I knew it was reported as income because I had a paper from the casino, so I just declared it as income. I didn't get a refund that year but I didn't owe anything, either.

Can IRS legally change my deductions on w4?

the IRS never sees or handles a W-4 so there is no way that document can be changed by them
if you continuously have too little withheld and annually owe income taxes above the allowance yes, a lock in letter can effect a change in your withholding
