Is It Appropriate For A 13 Year Old To Wear A Corset

Is it ok for a 13 year old to wear a corset?

For Christmas this year I'm asking for a corset- an under bust that is white and very conservative and won't be noticed under a shirt. I want one because it makes your waist appear smaller when you wear it, and it would be a fun thing to try. My mom is saying that she doesn't want me wearing one because she is convinced that corsets are bad and are seen as bondage items. What do you think? Is it ok for me to get one?

Is it appropriate for a 13 year old to wear a corset?

Oh no, please please don't wear the slimming-down types of corsets! It isn't inappropriate, but they are really bad for your health, and they won't do anything good to your shape, too!
If you are self conscious about your spine, you can ask for a special back straightening corset in a medical shop(not pharmacy)! It looks nothing like decorative/slimdown corsets though, so don't be surprised! They come in all shapes and sizes, so there should be one for you! My spine is curved too, and I wear one! At first they feel weird, but then you get used to them, and they can be easily hidden under your clothes. You should wear them for around 3 hours a day. Sounds uncomfortable, but the result is worth it!
And don't think about your weight too much, you're just 13! All teenage girls have imperfections, and somtimes it might be linked with your age! When I was your age, I was really chubby, because my first period messed up my hormones... I tried everything, and nothing helped! But smart people always said I'm beautiful no matter how much I weigh, and I never listened to small-minded bullies. Now time has passed, and I'm back to average, yet I still miss my pudgy cute shape! Being on the heavy side does not equal ugly, lazy or anything like that. It's just a body, and there are greater things than our bodies! Plus, your shape is rare, be proud of it! :)
If you still feel uncomfortable, visit a doctor! There are ones specializing in diets and they will tell you what you need instead of these torture-like excercises and nasty pills!

Hope I helped! :)

Is it inappropriate for a 13 year old to wear a corset?

Is it inappropriate for a 13 year old to wear a corset?

Ok, I know this question has been asked a few times before but this is kind of different circumstances so here we go.
Firstly I'm not talking about a stereotypical corset, I mean a waist-cincher, it's like a corset but it's only designed to go from just under your ribs to your hips, give or take. I don't want to wear it to make my waist smaller, I want to wear it to flatten my stomach because it's kind of flabby. I do judo and swimming and I don't eat a lot of junk food so hopefully it will get flatter as I get taller but just for now a flat stomach would really boost my confidence. Since I'm active I have pretty big musicals in my arms and back and I'd really like to start wearing slightly tighter shirts, not skin tight but slightly closer fitting, but I can't because my stomach sticks out.
I've worn a medieval bodice with boning in the front before and it's really comfortable for me and most of the waist-cinchers I've seen have similar boning so I think it would be comfortable. I'd wear it over a camisole (so the camisole will act as a chemise\shift, whatever you call it where you are) and underneath my T-shirts\dresses so it wouldn't show. I really love the bodice but it's not mine and my winter coat would mess up the wool, but if I got my own waist-cincher I could wear it when I want because it's mine. I'm 13 in that helps.
Taking all this into consideration would it be appropriate for me to wear a waist-cincher?

Is it okay for a 15 year old girl to wear a corset?

I think you are too young in just one sense: your bones and your figure are still growing and corsetry could cause you to develop strangely. My own experience was like this:I was born in 1980. From puberty, about 12 years of age, I was fascinated by girdles and corsets from an earlier period. I convinced my mother to get me some gentle soft pantie girdles from big stores. I could feel the control and the smoothness and was happy with that for the time being. When I was a university student at age 19, I was very active in athletics and swimming; but my waist was almost the same measurement as my bra. Say over 34 inches. I decided to contact a corset maker on the Net and got some really good advice. The next year, I received delivery of two lace-up boned corsets. One was made to waist 28 inches and the other at 24 inches. Both under-bust.Gradually, I tightened the first one over a period of 3 months until it was closed and no longer exerted pressure on my waist. Then I started with the smaller corset and within another 3 months had a waist of 24 inches over the corset. And comfortable with my new figure. I was still doing the swimming and building my core muscles. At the age of about 22 years, I decided to start waist training seriously. I ordered corsets with waists 22 inches and 20 inches. I have worn the smallest of these since I was 24 years old and had replacement corsets every year or so as they become worn and loosen in the seams. And so today, and every day, I live with my 20 inch waist inside my corsets. I dress loosely, not to show the world what I am wearing underneath. My husband is delighted and gets excited to watch and hold me. Sometimes, for special events or for our extra excitement, I have two other smaller corsets; at 18 inches waist and at 17 inches, although I have not yet got the 17 closed. The 18-inch will close if I diet carefully and lace it down gradually during the day - every hour or so, just a small amount. Until it is closed for the evening and we both like that very much. So, my advice is to wait before getting true corsets. I am sure you could wear pantie girdles from department stores, just to get the feel of the gentle compression and be happy with your smooth figure.

Should a 13 year old wear a corset for Halloween?

Have you ever worn those things for a long time? Especially when exercising or eating? Ouch. Even if it doesn't hurt it often restricts movement. Don't be a fashion victim- no matter how awesome your costume looks, if you can't enjoy yourself wearing it, it sucks.I know you actually want an opinion on wether it's appropriate; the answer is I don’t care, but other people will. People will act differently and may have unwelcome opinion. If you can deal with that, feel comfortable and confident, and are wearing it because you like it (not because you think x and y will like how yo look in it but actually you dislike it) wear it.I would personally not do this, and would advise against, but in the end it's up to you.

Is it okay for a 16 year old to wear a corset?

I'll be graduating in the upcoming year and I would like to do some workouts and things to enhance my figure before I hit my final year. Anyway, I was just wondering since I am still developing if it would be okay to wear one so to decrease my waist size. My biggest thing is ... Does it mess up your womb in any kind of way?!!?!?!?! When I get married in years to come, I'll definitely want children so I don't wanna make the decision now and regret it when that time comes. So is it a good idea?

My 12 year old sister wants to wear a corset? please read it all!?

I know my little sister, she doesn't want to be 'sexy' or 'hot', She is into corsets and evening gowns. She is also one of those girls who gets starry eyed, and is poetic. She loves Shakespeare Etc. And she wants more of a poet blouse with a pinkish corset going on with like, jeans or a pretty skirt. (not short or short skirts, and not long skirts either, like.. tea length?) Do you guys think she is too young to be dressing like that? I mean as long as she's modest, does it matter?
And she is pretty mature, she doesn't use bad language, she gets good grades, she is nice, and also she doesn't even use makeup (except for special times, then it is smudged brown eyeliner.)
Just so you know, She is almost 13.
Thanx!<3

13 year old shrinking waist with a corset?

My cousin is 13 years old. She wanted a smaller waist ever since she was a very little girl. She got her first corset when she was 12 years old and for her 13th birthday, she got another corset of a smaller size. The corset woman sold it to her without hesitation, claiming that in ancient times, girls wore corsets when they had started their period, and that it was okay. I'm just wondering if this will do any damage to her body as she gets older? She wears it to sleep and sometimes around the house.

Long story short : 13 year old girl wears corset. Will this damage her body now/when she's older? Why?

Can a 13 year old wear fishnets?

Back when I was a wee lil’ fetus 13 year old, I wanted to be as edgy as all the scene girls with all their ripped jeans and cool tattoos. I also wanted to be goth or something - hence why I wanted to wear fishnets so badly. They would look so cool under my ripped black jeans!! People would finally notice me! (I was very attention hungry)Looking back, I’m glad I didn’t wear fishnets until now (I’m 15, turning 16 in November). I was really lost back then, and I did a lot of impulsive decisions, such as bleaching my hair. I mean, I’m not any less impulsive now, but now I actually consult them with all my 1 friends first. So, I decided not to wear fishnets back when I was 13 due to how impulsive and self destructive I knew I was. I didn’t wear them, but whoever this 13 year old might be could be mature enough to understand the attention that she or he might attract by wearing fishnets, especially as a teenager growing through physical changes.TLDR; Only wear it if you think you can understand the consequences that come with wearing fish nets and if you’re mature enough to do so.
