Is It Possible For An Exotic Pet To Care For It

Is it easy to care for exotic pets?

This actually depends 100% on the species. Some exotic pets are barely harder to care for than a house plant, while others require half your life in attention, space and care. There’s no absolute statement that can be made on this without more information.

How do I start my own exotic pet store?

first I would assume you know something about it and not just want it. go to school, get a degree in buisness or w/e. And yes for any buisness you need permits and licenses and all that crap. Also for certain animals need certain permits depending on what they are and where you live. If you're actually serious about doing this, you need to have alot of hands on time with exotic animals and being in that kind of job. you should work at a pet store or something first so you know what to do, a personally owned one, not a giant chain, learn how they run theres for 6 months or so, then continue learning how to start your own.

Do you have an exotic pet? How do you care for it?

I dont have pet but i love pets and i dont know how to care for them you should opt for some specialist about caring

What is it like to own an exotic pet?

I do not buy and have never owned an so called exotic pet. Most exoctic pets are wild animals and belong in the wild in their natural habitat and not in sineobe’s home! Additionally, most exictic pets are dangerous and hatevliving in home environments! How would you like to be moved from your comfortable environment and forced to live out in thevwikd in the Anazon jungle? That would not be a good environment for you anymore than your home is for your unfortunate exotic pet. What is wrong with owning a dog, cat, hamster, parakeet, or gold fish? Nothing!I have always owned both a cat and a dog. I shower these animals with love and each one has turned out to be very unique. Right now, I have a dog that talks to me by barking directly at me whoever he wants something. I have a cat who jumps up in my bed and kys down right next to me when I am asleep. She often looks mevdirectly in the eye and meows at me as if to talk to me. You want a unique pet? Treat your dog and cat well and talk to them, and you will see how special they turn out to be.Do not even consider buying an exotic pet. It is a big mistake for you and for the unfortunate animal.

Is an anteater a hard exotic pet to take care of?

Please, don't support the exotic pet trade.  Many animals are taken from the wild and smuggled illegally, negatively impacting wild populations.  Unlike domesticated animals, they have not been selectively bred to thrive in captivity and so many live shortened lives in inadequate housing, with a poor diet, and experience chronic stress.

Is it possible to keep a Komodo dragon as a pet?

It’s not legal to keep a Komodo dragon as a pet, so it depends on what you mean by ‘possible.’ They are a CITES I protected endangered species, internationally. Only zoos and educational institutions are allowed to have these animals, and they are very closely monitored.Legal issues aside, pretending you somehow got accredited as a zoo and are permitted to have one…They are venomous. A nip could send you to the hospital in shock, and it certainly would not feel good. They have a mouth full of steak knives. They require huge enclosures, because they are huge animals. They must be climate controlled, and have UVB light available.Feeding would be costly, as they would need whole animal prey (this can be purchased frozen and thawed out for them). They would need expensive specialized veterinary care.Apart from that, most captive-raised Komodo dragons are even-tempered, and some are even friendly. They’re quite easy for keepers to work with, most of the time, and quite trainable. Very smart animals. But there’s a lot of ‘apart from’ in there. No, you really can’t keep one as a pet.If you really want a pet that is similar to a Komodo dragon in appearance and behavior, I would recommend an Asian water monitor. While not as large as a Komodo dragon (no other lizard is), they are still big enough! And temperament-wise, they’re not so bad, either. (Every animal is an individual, and there is no guarantee a baby you buy will not grow up to be defensive and nasty, but a fair number of water monitors grow up to be pretty docile). They still need an enormous temperature-controlled enclosure with UVB light, and whole animals for food. You need to learn a lot to keep one of these animals. They’re not house pets. You can’t just let them run loose in your house more than briefly for a bit of training and exercise. They must have temperature and humidity-controlled lodging. :)

Are Exotic Pets Popular in Germany?

I've always been interested in taking care of small animals (dogs, cats, more exotic pets like birds and reptiles), and I want to study to be a small animal vet that specializes in exotic pets once I graduate from high school in a year. I defiantly have the smarts for it, but I still have a lot of questions.

One that randomly popped in my head was "Are exotic pets popular in European countries like Germany?" I'm not sure why it popped in my head, but I've been thinking about it ever since it came up. Since I live in the US I'm not sure of the laws in regards to exotic pets in places like Germany, nor do I know how popular they might be.

So can some educate me on how popular exotic pets might be in places like Germany or other European countries?
