Is It Possible To Use Stitches As A Form Of Body Art

If you have stitches on your forearm can you get a tattoo on it?

It depends on how big the scars are and the skill level of your artist. Scars change the texture of your skin and how it "takes" the ink. It might look different or not heal properly. Good tattooists can usually work with anything (think of the women who get mastectomies and have tattoos to cover where their breast(s) were).

I suggest that you talk to your tattooist-to-be and get a consultation. Only they will be able to say for sure. I'd imagine they could work with it one way or the other-- either by tattooing on or by restructuring the design around the scars which might look neat?

BodyArtForms.com???? legit?

There stuff is what you'll find in your piercers inventory. The jewelry all comes from the same companys. Only difference is your piercer gets them straight from the manufacture where as bodyartform.com compiled all lot of the popular brands into one website. There jewelry for the most part is great quality. If not they leave little notes in it saying what could be wrong. Like sizes may vary or gems easily fall out. They will warn you. You can also read the customer reviews.... always helpful.

How do I know if my body is rejecting the stitches?

Call your Urologist or the doctor that did the surgery. The stitches that are used as the dissolvable type. The water doesnt dissolve them but it is your body chemistry that does. Each man is different and the dissolving starts at different times to break down the sutures. Dont panic, call your doctor. You will have some swelling since your penis has undergone some trauma. One thing you should do, and that is that you should have your surgeon remove the remnants of the stitches anytime from the 10th to the 14th day. If you dont have this done, you can develop crosshatch or tunnel marks which are unsightly and can leave some irritation. Dont take no for an answer, insisit that he does this since he has been paid for the surgery.

The small brown spot may just be a scab. Leave it alone. when you can take a bath do so in a solution of epsom salts. It really helps.

What is the best paint to use on your body?

image from Puck’n KhaosWater based, in my opinion. And what that means is that the paint is activated by water and it comes off with — you guessed it! — soap and water.Because I’m a black woman who body paints herself (yup, that’s me above and below) I have to find the most opaque body paints out there, and my go-to is Ben Nye’s MagicCakes. It’s opaque and non-streaky when you brush it on.I also use Mehron’s Liquid Paints in black, browns, and white because I know I’m going to use a LARGE amount of those colors, so might as well stock up.One thing I’ll say about Ben Nye though is that, don’t let the size of the cake fool you.I’ve had cakes that have lasted MONTHS before I hit “tin”, doing a whole variety of looks.Again, it’s my go-to.There are some alcohol based body paints out there, but I wouldn’t suggest it because you need a specific alcohol to get it off.It won’t come off with soap and water, no matter how hard you scrub. It’s good if the model is going under water or getting wet, but again, getting it off can be a pain. Some other popular favorites that I know of are:WolfeFXKryolanand GraftobianYou can google any of these and they’ll come up.I’ve never used those (3), but from watching body painting shows like Skin Warsfrom the TV series, Skin WarsOr watching other YouTubers, they mention these kinds of products often, as well as some others I didn’t mention. From Jordan Hanz’s YouTubeTHE BEST WAY TO LEARN ABOUT BODY PAINTING IS TO:1. Go on YouTube and find a body painter you like, like Jordan or Madeyewlook2. See what materials they’re using and go and make the investment into buying them.3. Follow along with their video tutorial.4. Learn from the experience.5. Repeat. And one last thing, don’t cheap out and use either acrylic paint or Party City Paint.Acrylic paint is not meant to be put on your skin. And Party City’s paints are crap.Hope this helped. If branding yourself online is a subject you’re interested in, I’ve written a few articles about it. You can read them here: BLOG — Puck'n Khaos

How long does it take for dissolvable stitches to dissolve after a dental surgery?

I'm a dentist.

3-0 chromic gut or 4-0 chromic gut is likely what was placed in your mouth. It's what I use, and it's what I've always seen used.

It typically takes at minimum one week for the suture to dissolve, i.e. be resorbed by the body. If the suture knot was tied improperly or if the suture was placed in the floor of your mouth where it would be submerged in saliva, you'll likely find that suture has come undone and is now missing (you've swallowed it).

One week is just a minimum. Sometimes I see the suture there for two weeks even, but rarely.

There are other materials used in the mouth, however. Sometimes I will use Vicryl, which is intended to last longer. These I will typically see for two weeks, minimum.

Can I use Frontline Plus on my dog if she has stitches?

Yes, it is safe to apply Frontline Plus to your pet while it is recovering and has sutures in place from her OVH. Apply the medication as directed on the back of the neck. This will probably make her more comfortable as fleas can make her itchy, make her scratch and lick and cause a secondary bacterial infection - which is something we don't want in surgical patients.

I do not recommend the use of flea shampoos as these have no residual effect after rinsing and are not effective at preventing fleas from reproducing. I also do not recommend using powders as these are often dangerous pesticides that can cause harm to you and your pet, by general contact or by inhalation.

You should use Frontline Plus or Revolution if ticks are a problem in your area. Both are very safe, have mild side effects (if any).

If you have fleas in your home, I recommend using a product called Knockout - it kills adult fleas and prevents larvae from reproducing. Use it not on your pet, but where every your pet lays, under couch cushions, the bed, etc. "Bombs" do not work because flea larvae burrow down under items and awar from light and bombs only coat surfaces.

We always treat our patients, surgical or medical, for fleas with either Frontline Plus or Capstar (and oral medication that kills fleas in 24 hours - does not kill ticks and has no residual effect).

Why cant doctors stitch up cuts that are vertical?

It is harder to stitch up cuts on your wrists that are vertical, not impossible or anything, just more difficult. Think of a fire hose, cut in half, it's easy to take to two ends and put it back together, now think of that same fire hose cut vertically, that is a much harder thing to sew back together.

People who want to succeed at killing themselves usually cut vertically. It is harder to save them if they do that. But it just makes it harder.

Can I Stitch up a Cut with Home Sewing Thread?

This is a more effective method.
