Can my sister use my Netflix account out of state?
My sister is out of state on vacation and I was wondering if she could sign into my account on her laptop and watch the instant watch stuff? I am worried she will log in a few states over and use it and it'd be somehow against the rules and they'd have some way of checking the area code an account is used in. I read through the Netflix terms of use as well as the help section, as did my sister, and it said that "If you are on the Unlimited Streaming + 2 DVDs out-at-a-time plan, you may watch on up to two devices at a time," which I do.. but I don't know if that means I can watch it on my laptop and my ps3 in the same home or if it means any 2 devices anywhere. Netflix allows two simultaneous connections per account with a option for 4. https://support.netflix.com/en/node/373 What you stream doesn't mater, and your location doesn't matter. You could stream the same movie at the same resolution on two devices at one location or multiple locations as long as you don't exceed the simultaneous use limits. Try it and see for yourself. Nobody would agree to that. 1. I'm paying for the account. Why should I let some stranger use it for free? 2. Netflix limits the use of your account to only 2 consoles/players at once. So if you and one of my family members is using Netflix at the same time then that means I can't watch Netflix. Pay for your own account. Its only $8 a month. If you can afford internet, then you can afford this.

You should note that, downloading content to a device allows for it to be played with out streaming. Each devices needs to download content on its own.In that case it is possible to watch a series you’ve downloaded on one device and stream it on another. You cannot stream from one device to another.
