Is My Knuckle Broke/whats Wrong With My Wrist

I might have broken my knuckle?

If it is seriously broken, and if you don't go and see the doctors, it'll heal the wrong way and you might have unusual bone structure when you're older. Although that's not likely, you really do need to see a doctor. Try and keep it straight and bandage it as well as possible if you can. Avoid a change in temperature i.e. Very cold or very hot, because this can hurt it.

You really need to get to the doctor as I see no other way round it. It's unlikely you've broken it, though judging by your symptoms you might well have crushed the knuckle and you need to see a doctor ASAP.

Take care!

My knuckle has been swollen for about 3 months whats wrong with it?

This can happen with injuries. It happened to one of my fingers after it was severely wrenched in a car accident. What happens is that the injury inflames the area, but if the injury is quite severe the tissues can start to harden before the fluid gets released. Once they harden, the fluid can get trapped there so the swelling continues. It takes a couple of months to get rid of it, but the best way is to massage your hand several times a day, quite firmly, while holding your hand up in the air to help drain away the fluid. Drinking pineapple juice also helps For more info try googling "bromelain and sports injuries".

Is it possible to punch a wall so hard that you get a broken wrist??

Yes, one of my neighbors did it fairly badly once.

Some of the interior walls of my apartment building are cinder-block concrete...he punched one of those, his hand and forearm were in a hard-resin sling for months...

But generally speaking, it isn't about the wall as much as it is about your punch. Even the fake wood paneling of a mobile home--thin and wimpy as it is--can break a wrist if you *don't* throw your punch right, keeping your wrist *straight and locked* behind your fist. Keeping your thumb *tucked but OUTside* is crucial too.....

This is why if I smack a wall I just usually *use an elbow*. It's a lot easier to hit *harder* with an elbow and it doesn't break so easily. ^_^

Just saying. ^_^

Not sure if my knuckles broken?

See your health care provider as soon as possible (orthopedic surgeon), for consultation. Have you ever been so frustrated that you wanted to slam your fist into a wall? If you do, you could break one of the bones in your hand (metacarpals). Fractures of the hand bones account for about one third of all hand fractures. In fact, fractures of the fifth bone (the one that leads to your little finger) are commonly known as "boxer's fractures."

The hand bones can break near the knuckle, mid-bone, or near the wrist.
Signs and symptoms of a broken bone include:

Swelling.
Tenderness.
Deformity.
Inability to move the fingers.
Shortened finger.
Depressed knuckle.
Finger crosses over it's neighbor when you make a partial fist.

Your physician will request X-rays to identify the fracture location and type. The physical examination may include some range of motion tests and an assessment of sensation in the fingers to ensure that there is no damage to the nerves.

Listen to the pain message and avoid activities that cause or aggravate pain. Rest, ice, and splints the finger joints so that they can heal, but use gentle stretching exercises to keep them limber and maintain motion. The key to managing finger problems is to use common sense. Anti-inflammatory medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen can help, but doses should usually be low to moderate.
I hope this helps you. And good luck.

Broken or just bruised arm?

So hard to say. Being able to move something is not a good indicator if something is broken. Really if the pain is unbearable or the swelling is really bad, you need to get seen. I have had many broken bones and with each one (except my foot) I could move it. Ligaments and tendons actually cause more pain and swelling than broken bones, but you should just get checked out if you are worried about it possibly being broken.

Punched the wall and my knuckles and wrist is swollen.?

If your wrist is painful, and can't move it, then you might have broken your wrist.

If your wrist is bruised, and can move it a bit with some pain, then you should put ice on it.
But if it swells ALOT, that means, as ive said before, your wrist may be broken.

I punched a wall now my knuckle is swollen and whole arm hurts?

You need to get an X ray to determine if you have a boxers fracture. Which is what you are describing. Then you need to repair the hole in the wall that you created. I assume it was plaster so just cut out the hole and then cut out the patch. Tape it and spackle the area. Sand and repaint.
That is, of course, after your cast comes off your lower arm and hand.
