Is 4GB of RAM enough to run Minecraft?

Yes, this is by far enough ram to run Minecraft. I spent about 4 years on a machine with 4gb RAM, and I can assure you that the only issue with that amount of RAM is trying to do more things at the same time (chrome + game for example), but even then the main issue with Minecraft is the graphics. Believe it or not, Minecraft gets pretty power hungry for graphics, and can get slow if you have a weak card. I gamed on the same 4gb machine with integrated graphics on an I3, and still the game played very well as long as I didn't go overboard in render distance.8GB is close to becoming the standard, but I feel 4 is still the standard today for midrange computers.

Which laptop is able to run MineCraft at 50fps+?

Since Minecraft no longer requires Java to run, this dramatically decreases the demand for the game. This means it will run smoothly on older machines as there's less latency and less background processes going on while you play.In response to your question, considering the above, you wouldn't need anything fancy or top speed to get the FPS you require. Mine craft is CPU intensive and doesn't really require much RAM capacity or good graphics or GPU. So therefore a computer with anything from a core i3 with 4 GB of RAM and intergrated graphics. This wouldn't cost more than £300 (British pounds; your countries conversion may be more or less).Happy gaming :)

How much RAM should I get for my laptop if I want to run Minecraft smoothly?

Surprisingly, my potato of a computer can run Minecraft relatively smoothly. It has 4 gb of ram.BUT running games is not only dependent on ram but a variety of factors like your CPU and Graphics card. Assuming you have a decent cpu, 4gb of ram is enough.
