Is Philosophy Purity Good For Acne

Does Philosophy's Purity Cleanser work for acne?

I really think it does. I used to have terrible acne... Don't have it at all anymore, but I can still get pimples if I don't properly cleanse my face. I've been using the Purity cleanser religiously for a couple months now. Honestly, it broke me out at first, but it's actually a good thing if you break out while using a new product because it's doing its job and cleaning out your skin. This cleanser doesn't have any acne-fighting ingredients (e.g. salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide), but it does a fantastic job at removing all traces of makeup and oil. It leaves your skin clean and refreshed. I have very dry skin and I get a tight, uncomfortable feeling from a lot of cleansers. This cleanser leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized. I love it! I highly recommend you try it out.
The Hope In A Jar moisturizer is also a good buy if you have really oily skin. It absorbs on contact and leaves your skin moisturized without that greasy feeling. I know it's pretty expensive for the small size, but trust me, it's worth it. You only need a DAB to cover your face and neck, so it lasts a long time.
You should go to Nordstrom and get the Philosophy Care Package. You get the Purity Cleanser, a GREAT exfoliator (takes away pimples in literally two days), a microderm abrasion duo, and an eye cream.
The package contains $150+ worth of products and it's only $80!

Hope I helped :-)

Philosophy Purity Made Simple Face Wash?

.I've used Philosophy for about three yrs and I like it very much. The foam is a new product so of course I had to try it and I like it better because of the foam. It's a great cleanser, but for acne you probably need something medicated in addition. Philosophy also has a good moisturizer called When hope is not enough, however its pricey. Not sure where you can buy it other than on-line. I get mine at QVC.

Does the face wash "Purity" by "Philosophy" work?

Yes, i used to use it. It removes makeup as well as cleanses your skin. The only downside is that i don't like the way it smells...it's good for adults but for 13 year olds like me and 14 year olds like you, it's a little weird. It doesn't necessarily get rid of acne, but it cleanses your face of the things that cause acne like oil, dirt, and makeup. I suggest you use a moisturizer after so that smells better, but other than that it's really good.

Is Philosophy's "Purity" face wash good for acne?

I use Purity and have been for a while (about 8 months). Like you, I am prone to breakouts (annoying, right). I definitely love this face wash and yes, for me it does clear up pimples.

With Purity I like to put it all over my face when my face is still dry, then run my hands under warm water and massage my warm hands over my face and you can literally feel the Purity melting away your skins toxins and excess oil. My face is brighter and I follow the wash with Philosophy's "Hope In A Jar" which I have found stabilizes my skins oil and brightens my complexion. It's kinda expensive though. I get mine in a kit 'cause buying them separately is too much.

You best bet is to go in and tell them that you would like to try a sample because you are a Philosophy customer and are using the "On A Clear Day" - but are thinking about switching. They should give you a decent sample to keep you using their product line.

Good luck.

Anyone use purity face wash? HELP!?

I have just recently started using Philosophy's Purity one step facial cleanser to clear up the acne I have on my chin. I have suffered with acne for almost 10 years. I have used everything the dermatologist has to offer, including Accutane. I purchased Purity after hearing rave reviews from friends and was hoping it would clear up the bad breakouts I was getting on my chin. I have only been using it for 4 days and my skin has broken out everywhere! Should I quit using this product? Or will it eventually clear up?

Is regular soap good for acne/skin in general?

umm well i have minor acne and its usually just on my forhead all over, and ive used TONS of products (proactiv, neutrogena, clean &clear, natures cure, differin, acnezone) and tons of others.

my friend who is getting her degree in dermatology says that maybe i should try something milder, like regular soap and warm water.

is soap good for the face and can it maybe help my skin?
