College graduate can't land job because of no experience?
well, if it is for the money (especially if rent is due, etc) then get one of those jobs that you hate so much...the retail of fast food jobs. those will pull in more money than you are currently pulling in, which is zero. You can also apply with a Temp agency. alot of these temp agencies have a "temp-to-hire" thing...where they will place you as a Temp in a company, and if they like you, you can be hired full time into the company, and the temp agency gets money from the company for finding and referring you to them. times are hard on the wallet right now...good luck on your search...
Why do so many people major in stupid useless things in college?
The following majors are useless and worthless unless you know someone that can pull strings for you: Fashion, English, Art, Music, History, Art History, Psychology, Chemistry, Philosophy, Political Science, Business, Criminal Justice, Sociology, General Studies, and especially Teaching. The only majors with which you may find a job are: Engineering, Nursing (if your lucky), something in the health field, or MAYBE Accounting. In all of the useless majors I mentioned, I can almost guarantee that 95 out of 100 people graduating with a degree in that will end up flipping burgers for a lifetime.
Is getting a master's degree worth it?
Okay, as a master degree graduate, I think I can relate.It depends.If you are a fresh bachelor graduate whom going to pursue professional career and make some bucks, then master degree is not for you. If you think that you want to learn, join companies that offer you management trainee. You will be educated while earn salaries.If you hope that by going to graduate school will help you to land in better jobs, then don’t. Most companies ask for experience, not education.If you go for master degree because you simply do not know what to do, then don’t. Master degree require you to know what you are going to do, what is your focus, and how deeply you understand the field you are in.However,If you go for master degree because you have several years of professional experience and you know what happen in the field, master degree will help you leverage your understanding and accelerate your reputation.If you are going to teach in the university, of course you need master degree for a doctoral degree.If you want to study abroad and experience a different culture, master degree might worth it. Well, in this case, I came from a developing country and pursuing master degree in a developed country helped me to understand what makes a developed country better than a developing country. Having a student identity give me access to many places that you will not get if you travel as a tourist.In short,You should consider what you are going to do in the future. But mostly, people who succeeds in the master degree usually have professional experiences beforehand.Professional experiences give you network, hands on experience, and the actual situation. You will know what problems that people usually face on the field and what theories have been irrelevant. Are useless college degrees really that useless?
I'm a senior in high school, and have been looking around for what major I want. However, all the majors I've considered have also been considered "useless". Communications? Film? Those are the two recent ones, and I've read online that they're considered a laughing stock! I mean, I could never go for a math or science degree, but it seems everybody thinks those are the only degrees worth shooting for. Am I really so doomed?
Do you think humans will ever walk on the sun?
i was just daydreamin and thinking today and i thouth about how crazy it was that a person has walked on the moon and mars. i was just wondering if u think a person will ever walk on the sun to? like i kno its realy hot but i am thinking if they went in the winter time when the sun is only like 30 degrees i bet they could do it.
