Yes, you will get refund on tatkal waiting if if is booked through online because online waiting is not valid as per irctc, does not matter you booked my yourself or through agent. This process can take 7–8 business days.

Its clearly mentioned there that payment has been settled and you will be receiving your refund money within seven working days. The ticket which you think you booked was never booked in real. What is a tatkal ticket in train?
i) Yes some seats are kept on hold for their selling under Tatkal Quota. ii) The percentage of seats per train kept for Tatkal are different. You can check the number through Indian railways website by selecting various quota. iii) Tatkal booking starts only a day prior to actual date of journey. If you were to travel in an early morning train, e.g. before 9 am then the tatkal booking for that train will start 2 days prior. iv) Additional money is charged by Indian Railways for booking under this quota. Booking starts at 10 AM everyday. v) For your help, please note that it is better to book the tatkal tickets through railway station and even better if book through agents. How did I get a refund from IRCTC when only 1 seat out of 4 seats confirmed on a Tatkal ticket after chart preparation?
I cancelled my partially confirmed tatkal E-ticket(one confirmed and the other one at TQWL 1). It was 24 hrs before the scheduled departure of the train from the source station for which I had received complete refund with a deduction Rs. 130 as it was a 3rd-AC. The rules for partly confirmed tatkal ticket are same as those of a normal ticket. You should get complete refund upto 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the train.Partial cancellation is also allowed. You can cancel the wait listed members in the ticket getting a complete refund(service charges are applicable)Well if you don’t want to cancel, all the other wait listed passengers can travel with you.
