Is The Brand Asus A Good Gaming Laptop

Is asus a good laptop brand?

For the most part it all depends on you. Your question is an very interesting one since HP doesn't make a laptop Dell doesn't make a laptop and Toshiba doesn't make a laptop. Quanta makes laptops for Apple Inc., Compaq, Dell, Gateway, Hewlett-Packard,[2] Alienware, Amazon.com, Fujitsu, Gericom, Lenovo, LG, Maxdata, MPC, Research In Motion, Sharp Corporation, Siemens AG, Sony, Sun Microsystems, and Toshiba.

Asus typically builds their own computers with their own hardware and they make pretty good hardware. I would say they are a good laptop typically with less "crap ware" than many of the others but as with any electronics each device is going to be different and now a days computers typically should be replaced within 5 years anyway.

Is the brand Asus a good gaming laptop?

Asus is basically a Taiwanese brand.
In India, the most popular computer brands are HP, Dell and Sony.
But, being "not-so-popular" does not mean "not-so-good"
These days, Asus is churning out good laptops and they're decently priced too, as compared to HP or Sony, who over-charge their brand value.
You better check the specifications of the desired laptop. But, ensure that you don't get an AMD powered processor - they're really junk and have very common over-heating issues, and if you're getting a gaming laptop, then it would be even more apparent.
And one final thing - check for Asus's service centers beforehand - I had got one few years back, but never had the opportunity to take it to a service center, so don't know how their after-sales service is - but, doesn't it talk about product quality in itself?

Happy shopping!

(and just in case you're considering alternate brands, you may go for Dell - they're pretty customisable and Dell just refreshed their laptop series)

Is Asus a good laptop brand?

Yes.They are not the best, as there are specialty venders that build their own systems that can arguably be “better”, but ASUS is a huge company with a reputation which means when your buying their product your also buying the brand itself.ASUS happens to be one of my favorites for ANYTHING because of their customer service and support. I have an old P6T-LE Mobo of theirs that they’d still help me with, despite it being well past it’s due date for shut down gaming wise. (mobo has since given up to the ghost now)Now, on that note, that particular P6T Mobo is an example of why ASUS isn’t THE BEST, as it was plagued with several flaws for a few revisions of it that as far as I’m aware, were never fully addressed. ASUS wifi systems also have a few kinks, despite being very effective. However, over all, their reliability is high, their price is good, and their support is one of the BEST.If you’re looking into gaming, get something from ASUS offshoot for gamers - a ROG (Republic of Gamers).ROG systems are more adequately designed for gamers - usually has better gear, hardware and more efficient cooling. They’re also a steal at times. An $800 ROG system will serve you well, even if the thing is barely upgradable.

Are Asus laptops good for gaming?

It depends on the laptop’s model and the cooling performance it sports. Some ASUS laptops (even ROG) are not that good in my book because many people have reported them to overheat during gaming sessions (One example is the somewhat thin GL502VM with the GTX 1060).If you’re looking at specific gaming brands for laptops, you’ve got to first make sure the laptop has some great cooling. Once you do, just select the ones with the most possible positive reviews and pick one. In the end, the brand doesn’t really matter if the model is well made.My personal recommendations for gaming laptops with great cooling:MSI GE63VR 7RE (Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB): It’s the laptop I currently own. If I had the choice, I’d buy it again. ;) This has everything; Excellent speakers, 120Hz screen, excellent cooling, pretty lightweight at 2.4Kgs. The only drawback is its slightly higher than its competitors price, but that’s mainly because it sports a better hardware.Acer Predator Helios 300: The cheapest laptop there exists with the GTX 1060 with a surprisingly good cooling performance.Dell Inspiron 15 7577: This comes with the GTX 1060 MAX-Q, which is around 30–35% slower than the full GTX 1060. It could be a pretty costly trade-off but the cooling in this laptop is good. Build quality is also a plus.Lenovo Legion Y720: One of the very few 17″ laptops I’d easily recommend, mainly for its good cooling and speakers.Gigabyte Aero 14: Excellent battery life and a very good cooling performance in a very slim package. Only get this if you value battery life since it’s a little bit more expensive. Don’t get the Razer Blade (that’s another subject I must detail but I won’t do it).ASUS G752VS: Very expensive, very heavy, but this is pretty much the only ROG laptop I can easily recommend. The rest tend to overheat.

Best brand of gaming laptop?

I'm looking for a good gaming laptop. Preferably under $900. But if I have to pay more I want to make monthly payments on it instead of paying full price. So what brand would be good for console class gaming?

Is this laptop good for gaming? Asus Q550LF-BBI7T07?

I really don't want to go shopping for you right at this moment because my bed is calling me but http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeFo... says a bit about your GFx chip/GPU. I'd look for one with a lesser CPU and faster er better GPU. SERIOUSLY an i5 2500K which is only a second generation Intel desktop CPU can do all this http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind... Why oh why would I be looking for an i7? You are GAMING. While you need a CPU that can support your games it is my opinion that you are placing your faith in the wrong place so to speak. It also only has a 1 year warranty. It dies in 366 days and you are out of luck and $1000 PLUS TAX. Er no. Only $999.99. You will save a penny. Plus to be frank Best Buy is HORRIBLE. They overcharge and just are not my type of mortar and brick electronic store.

I couldn't leave a gamer hanging like that. http://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.php... is my suggestion.

The 570m is actually slightly better than the 745m and the laptop also has a 15.6" screen and an i7, 12GB RAM and is worth $1000 in my opinion.

What's the best gaming laptop brand?

First, I can't disagree more with the answers that say you need a desktop. I've already written on this fairly extensively, and won't belabor that here, but while it may have been true 10 years ago, those days are over.To the actual question, "best" depends greatly on the feature set you're looking for. There are several very good producers of gaming laptops, but it's really important to remember that brand based recommendations only represent a general trend and any purchase should evaluate specific models for their needs. The top of my list in gaming laptops almost always goes to Maingear High Performance Gaming Computers. The Pulse is an absolute beast of a laptop line and the engineering is superb. The finishes are high end and the internals are top notch. If you were to ask me for the gaming world equivalent of a MacBook, this would be it. Coming up close behind that, I've been really impressed with Gigabyte's offerings in their AORUS line. They're bringing SLI laptops into a significantly smaller form factor than competitors like Alienware and again, the engineering is superb. For mass market laptops, I do tend to like Asus ROG line ( http://www.asus.com/us/site/g-se...) and the offerings from MSI (http://us.msi.com/)I don't tend to like Alienware much, mostly because they lose the price / performance category that's important to a gaming laptop, but also because they lose in some other very laptop important categories like performance / weight. They're not bad products, and there are some features you can get exclusively from Alienware (18" is not a form factor they have much competition in) but in general, I haven't been impressed.
