How scary is the conjuring?

Wow, that's a LOT of questions!

In my opinion, "The Conjuring" wasn't scary at all; just VERY creepy! I didn't have nightmares or anything, but the music and camera angles alone are enough to give you chills. The acting was great which is rare for a horror film.

1) Again, I didn't think it was scary, but on a creepiness scale of 1-10, I'd give it an 8

2) Whether you get scared or not is completely subjective. Different things frighten different people, so there's no way anybody could tell you whether or not you would get scared. You have to see it and determine for yourself.

3) For me, I didn't have to think about anything after I saw it. It was good entertainment. I'm not sure how spiritual/religious you are, but if you do believe in the possibility of ghosts, spirits, demons, the supernatural, etc., then it may cause you to think about it once you finish watching it. Since you're young, I'm sure it'll cause you to think about it more than an adult.

4) The plot of the story is about a couple (Ed and Lorraine Warren) being asked by a woman to investigate her family's home after strange things start happening shortly after they move in. The Warren's conduct their investigation and discover that there are several destructive demonic entities in the house, and suggest an immediate exorcism.

5) I didn't jump in my seat, but I did get goosebumps a lot and had to close my eyes a few times ;)

6) I didn't scream at all

7) No one in the theater screamed when I went to see it, and the theater was quite full. A lot of people were jumping in their seats though!

8) People were leaving, but just to get concessions because they kept coming back with food

In my opinion, it's probably the best horror film of the 21st century (it has an 85% out of 100 rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is extremely rare for any genre of movie; not just horror). This movie doesn't have gore, violence, sex, or foul language, and I think that's what helps make it even better!

Should the Conjuring be rated R?

The film is rated R. I think that the 17 and over age limit is probably right. There were many teenagers in the audience both accompanied by their parents or older teens (over 17) and I swear, I think everyone in the theater jumped, screamed, or gasped, including myself. I walked into "The Conjuring" hoping that this film would scare the living daylights out of me. Something that would leave me emotionally spent after the lights come up. "The Conjuring” is the film that does exactly that. Ignore the based on a true story tagline. This film is scary and will scare the crap out of you.

Are the Conjuring movies and Insidious movies connected?

I can't find any interviews that support my theory, but in Insidious 2 movie when Elise Rainier's sidekicks (Specs and Tucker) go into her house and find the tapes of Josh when he was younger, they find the tapes in a room that contains the Annabelle doll (in a glass case) and music box on a shelf. The room is identical to Ed and Lori Warren's room in the Conjuring 2 when Ed puts the "The Crooked man" box next to the music box in front of the glass case holding the Annabelle doll. Is Elise somehow related to them?

I am 17 and am going to a rated R movie, can I bring my 16 year old friend with me?

okay, so I just turned 17. Some friends and I want to go see The Conjuring this Friday night, which is also opening night. I have gone to movies on opening night before that are rated R and there's almost always a security guard asking for your ID. I have my permit proving that I'm 17 so I can get in, my friend who is coming with me is also 17 so he can get in. Now, obviously us being boys, we have girls to come with us. The girl I am bringing with me is 16. My mom is going to purchase her ticket before the movie and then give her the ticket. Would me and my 17 year old friend count as "guardians" for our 16 year old dates? If this helps any, I live in New York. Please answer as soon as possible because the movie is on Friday! ASAP ANSWER ME, I'll greatly appreciate it!

Rated R movie age concern?

I'm 16 and my friends and I really want to see The Conjuring however none of us are 17( how old you have to be to get into a rated r movie in Minnesota) and we were wondering if this guy I have a thing with who is 18 if he could come with and buy our tickets and then we just all go in? There will be one 15 year old and three 16 year olds and then him..if that does work then how would we do it? Would we stand with him at the counter and then we just walk in behind him?

Which one is more scarier? The conjuring or Insidious 2?

I have seen the movie the conjuring & it was really scary ! I couldn't sleep every night after i saw that movie . And now, insidious 2 just came out . My friends are inviting me to go see it. But i dont wanna have nightmares again. So can someone tell me which one is scarier . The conjuring or insidious 2 ? The conjuring is rated r & insidous 2 is pg-13 . Can someone explain which one is scarier and why .

Im 16 how do I get into a rated r movie?

Dress like you're in college. Just walk right up and buy the ticket. They normally don't mind as long as you don't look 12 haha
