How many volumes are in the Skip Beat manga?
I have watched the Skip Beat anime and loved it, but of course like many anime the story jsut ends and that is it. I want to finish the story, but I need to know how many books are actually out there and where exactly in the manga does the anime leave off? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
The manga skip beat is it worth the read?
My answer is a very definite yes! The description didn't quite appeal to me initially, but I decided to give it a try anyway. The first few volumes weren't so interesting to me, but the series really picked up from her first drama (I'm trying not to spoil things for you, so I'll leave it to you to find out XD). I love seeing how Kyoko creates her characters and her growth as an actress as well as an individual. The genre may be shoujo, but she makes an unusual female protagonist. It's a very refreshing series and breathes new life into the genre with the mangaka's unusual take on it. The characters are special in their own way and over time, they just grew onto me somehow. So much so that I really root for Kyoko, hoping that she'd be able to succeed in showbiz. Without spoiling too much for you, there's a surprising side to each of the 3 main characters, so they're, arguably, not too one-dimensional. The plot is also unpredictable (either that or I simply lack imagination. lol). I was very pleasantly surprised with the audition arc and the first drama. So yes, do try it! It's fantastic! === I'm trying to be as objective as possible because otherwise you might only get an answer that goes like this: "Kyaaa~~~ Skip Beat!!! *o* " like a rabid fangirl, basically. But I'm trying to explain why I fell in love with the series and I hope you will too. Have fun reading! *wink wink*
Is the Skip Beat manga completed?
Alright. I've read all the way up to chapter 168, and the rest just kinda dropped off the face of the earth, i guess. I spent a while looking on line for chapter 169 and up, but got no results. Thus, I am left with the question of whether or not it's even finished. If it is finished, however, i would really really really love a link for an English version. If it is not finished, I was wondering if any of you guys knew when the next chapter would come out. Thanks a bunch either way!!!!
Which is better, the Skip Beat manga or anime?
The manga is much better. The anime is good, but cuts off way too early, right before the good stuff happens. Plus the manga is still ongoing while the anime ended at only 26 ep.'s The manga gets much deeper than the anime, and you get to see Kyoko's growth more prominently, plus it introduces characters not shown in the anime who are intricate players in later story arcs and the relationship/love triangle between Kyoko, Ren, and Shou are explored more, plus another character kinda gets added to the mix which makes situations quite funny actually. However, the anime is really good too. I would do both, watch the anime and read the manga, but if you only want to do 1 thing, then I would recommend reading the manga. Skip beat Raw untraslated manga?
OK so one time this guy posted a comment saying that the only reason it takes so long for new manga to be released is because they have to translate it all so basicly all the man gas already been written so correct me if I'm wrong but does that mean if I find the raw manga scans for them I can keep reading
Does skip beat anime follow skip beat manga?
the anime did a pretty good job of following the manga to a certain extent. but it did leave a lot of stuff out and started changing things especially after episode 19. the manga chapters most affected are around chapters 46 through 52. the anime changed a lot of things and left out a whole story arc (in the manga, you got to learn more about moko's family and her movie job; the anime left these out completely). there were other stuff left out as well after chapter 52. although it wasn't a whole arc, they were little things about other people's past and information about them. the anime ended with a cliffhanger. it ended with 25 episodes (not 24) which covered up to chapter 66 (although quite a few stuff was left out and changed as i already mentioned). there has been no announcement for a season 2. so if you want to know what happens, you should start reading the manga at chapter 67 though i recommend just reading them all. the manga is still ongoing so there's no end yet. and the art is sooo much better in the manga. :)
