Is There A Particular Way Of Shaving Down There Females

Tips For Shaving Down There. (Female)?

Your skin is probably getting irritated from the lack of shaving cream. Shaving cream allows the razor to glide over the skin, but if you get little red bumps (ingrown hairs) you can wash the area with a cleanser that uses salycic acid to remove and prevent them. This is the best thing I found that keeps irritation down and no ingrown hairs or bumps. First trim the area with a trimmer. Schick makes a great razor with a trimmer on one end, and a razor on the other. Once the hairs are short you will be able to shave less to remove the stubble and allow for a nice smoothness you want down there. Use shaving cream, shave starting at your inner thighs and work your way in, or start on the inside and work your way out to make sure you don't repeatedly drag the razor over the same areas. Rinse off and pat dry, then use a special bikini area lotion or bikini zone and you're done! You can use lotion down there, but if your skin is sensitive I wouldn't recommend it unless you use one specially for that area.

Shaving down there ..? (females)?

You're not supposed to shave down there full-stop!

You have pubic hair there for a reason, as well as being a sign of sexual maturity it also helps to protect your genitals and the surrounding skin - shaving risks irritation, cuts, ingrown hairs, infected ingrown hairs, cysts, and increases risk of STD's too. We've had pubic hair for hundreds of thousands of years, it's an evolutionary benefit to our health so doesn't need to be removed.

What guys prefer is irrelevant, it's your body not theirs - you only have sex with guys who respect you, that means they respect your choice in how you groom your pubic hair and your body in general, no decent guy is going to have a problem with pubic hair unless they are ignorant immature guys who aren't used to seeing a real-life adult womans body or they are pedophiles who want you to look like a prepubescent child. It's okay for guys to have preferences, and every guy is different, but most guys don't care about pubic hair because they know it is normal and no guy should expect you to shave or otherwise remove your pubic hair.

If you do want to remove your pubic hair it is best to opt for methods such as epilation, waxing, or laser removal as it lasts longer and poses lower risk - shaving causes irritation and increased issues due to damage to the skin, but also because the hair is cut it means it grows back in blunt so is more likely to cause irritation and lead to ingrown hairs. If you do shave it can't be done daily as it risks further irritation: as the hair grows back it pushes up the skin around the hair follicle, shaving just risks the razor catching that raised skin thus risk of irritation and cuts - how often you'd shave depends on your regrowth and when you want to shave.

Why do I have bumps after shaving down there?

I have experience doing pubic shaving as an amateur for my partner and myself, electric and blade. After shaving the pubic area, especially the first 30 times or so, there can be cells “damaged” around the periphery of a hair. This can get infected which is what it sounds like.[ A little antibiotic ointment a couple of times a day for a couple of days should get rid of that. If there are lots of such and the bumps are smaller and faster to appear, they may be just irritation that some hydrocort ointment would do it.There are differences between wet shaving and electric shaving. Using a blade, conditioner gives more padding and lubrication than most shaving gels or foams. An after shave for the pubic area can send you through the ceiling with the sting but some appear to prevent both razor burn and infections. Avoid scented things on the shaved areas as those can raise itchy bumps for an entirely different reason. At first you won’t be able to tolerate against grain shaving with a blade, but certain electric razors can go to “smooth” first time but you will have a lot of razor burn because of the closeness. Also, one needs trimmers and razors. A small non pinching trimmer is needed whenever the stubble is a few days long.

Shaving down there? (female)?

Let your hair grow back longer before shaving it. It will help stop the irritation. Try to shave down there like once a week or once every two weeks. I know it's so hard to go that long, but you wont get all the irritation and bumps. Also you can try using a gel like bikini zone after you shave to help with the irritation. It burns a little bit when you first put it on. Shaving with conditioner also seems to help and find yourself a really nice blade and change the blade often. I'm thinking about just going to get a Brazilian wax it's probably worth the pain since it'll take 4 weeks to grow back.

Do you shave down there?

Depends on the guy. Some like it totally shaved and some like it neatly trimmed. Really hairy is not good. Stubble is really not good.

Don't worry. If a guy is pulling down your panties for the first time, he's going to be too excited to really notice your "hair style." My advice is neatly trimmed. He will like it.

When did Americans start shaving their pubic hair?

The first instance of shaved pubic hair I saw, men and women, was with some nudists in the late 60s and early 70s. Since the 80s I’ve seen more and more smooths. It became very much a style. My daughter started shaving, on her own, never even asked about it, as soon as she grew pubic and leg hair. By the early 90s we were well into 2 or 3rd generation of shaving. So I heard teens with smooth parents rebelling by not shaving and those with full bush parents rebelling by insisting on shaving. This varied by the part of the country. Just like bikini line shaving, the USA got shaved from the coastlines towards the middle. I was told by a college coach (female) that almost all the girls were shaved by some time in the 90s. She was shaved too. I started pubic shaving regularly in 2003 or so, including my face again. I had a beard for about 15 years. My partner and I have shaved since 2003. We like it better than being all hairy, more comfy when in and out of the water all the time in the summer and less itchy.

Is it normal to shave "down there?"?

If you believe looking like a preteen girl with razor burn, stubble and ingrown hairs is normal... go right ahead.

*Women* have hair there, that's part of what makes them women instead of girls. Trim it up neat if you like that look or feel (or if you just don't want hairs straying out of your bathing suit), but there's almost nothing as nice as a mouthful of soft hair that tastes like the woman who loves me.

This whole "all girls shave" thing is a product of the porn industry, because it makes for more revealing close-ups, and those close-ups sell more magazines and videos... and it's all about money - for "women's beauty" manufacturers and their advertizers now as much as for porn profiteers.

People have been watching those, and they're coming to believe that a bald vulva is "normal".

It isn't... except on a little girl.

Guys, do you like shaving downstairs? How often do you shave and would it turn you on if your SO watched you?

I don't like shaving at all.It is uncomfortable, messy, expensive, boring, and so on. If I could afford it I would just have it removed permantly. For my face I like being able to grow a beard when I want, so I would not remove that hair permanently - but the shaving still sucks! For men shaving our face/neck often hurts. The male beard straws are harder than copper threads and shaving tools are blunted quickly. The tools needed makes the skin upset, and one dat shaving can be fine but doing it several days in a row is often a pain. It is like the opposite of the smooth ease of shaving the rest of a body. No, I would not be turned on if anyone watched me shaving anywhere. It is like brushing my teeth for me, but more awkward and in weirder less flattering body contortions.

Shave down there???????/?

Shaving is shaving is shaving.... Go forth with t.l.c. whilst doing it..For starters, if you have a long growth of :vegitation, I suggest that you get out the scissors, and crop the "crop" real short - otherwise the razor blades will clog up.
A clean / neat as whistle, area will bring you far more compliments as versus a hairy "playground" be it male or female..
Do a good job...
Regards.

What's the best way to shave down there?

Mamabearmills has the best advise if you want to use a razor. The Gillette Venus razors work great. However, a women's electric shaver works best if you have very sensitive skin. Waxing does hurt a lot, and it can get expensive too. You don't have to use a particular technique to shave the hair if you use a women's electric shaver, but you should always use something like Bikini Zone cream or Tend Skin lotion after you shave to prevent shave bumps and ingrown hairs. Personally, I think Tend Skin lotion is the best stuff for that.
