I've recently inhaled fumes from melted plastic, and I'm concerned for my health, what should I do and how do I check if carcinogens are in my body?
People exposed to vapours and fumes from burning plastics while in the workplace or while fighting fires, are at increased risk because of the long-term exposure to VOCs (volatile organic compounds). You are not at any risk if it was a single exposure. (Also there is no test for carcinogens in your body.)
