Is There Something Wrong With This Car

Is there something wrong with my car?

Coolant level light? I'm no mechanic and I really don't know what " That" indicator is called but I think "It" would simply indicate that your car is " Overheated"

I think you did the right thing by putting in antifreeze, just a little curious as to " How" you did it?

You see the thing is, when your adding water or antifreeze, the engine has to be running. as your adding the fluid.

When the car is not running, you only see the fluid in the radiator. so when you turn the car on again the fluid that was in the radiator will go to the engine block, and when you open the radiator cap again, you will see that the fluid level has dropped. to get a true indication the car must be running and the water pump must be circulating the fluid throughout the engine block. ( cooling it off)

So as your adding, check the flow of the fluid inside the radiator to insure that there is some circulation of the fluid taking place. If it is not circulating, this would be an indication that your water pump is not work, and this would cause the light to come on since the coolant is not going to be " Pumped into the engin

hope this helps :)

Is there something wrong with my interest rate on my car payment?

You need to understand how interest is compounded and calculated.

Your interest rate is 9.25% per year. If you divide this by 12 months, you get around .78% per month.

So, each month, you are charged .78% of the balance of the loan for interest. The bank calculates everything out so that your monthly payments are the same, and each month you pay a little more of the principal, and a little less interest.

With the numbers you posted, it should work like this: You paid $123.26 in interest, so your loan balance should be somewhere around ($123.26 divided by .78%) $15,800.00.

How do I know if there's something wrong with my car’s AC compressor?

The usual way is to check the line pressures. If the pressures are okay when the engine is not running, then there is Freon in the system. If the pressures are low or zero, first you have to fix the leak, evacuate the system, and refill the system. If the pressures are ok when not running but not right when running, that is the high side pressure is not a lot higher than the low side, then it’s likely that the compressor is bad. That is, if it’s turning, if it’s not turning then either the compressor clutch is bad or the compressor is locked up.

Is there something wrong with me because I wasn't excited about my mom's new car?

I think your feelings about cars are pretty typical of your generation, and hard to understand for many people in mine. According to a 2014 Forbes article, “nearly 40 percent of millennials believe that losing their phone would be a bigger hardship than losing their automobile. They also believe it would be a greater tragedy (so to speak) than losing access to a desktop or laptop computer, or a TV set…That compares with only 16 percent of people age 35 and up who think losing their phones would be more difficult to take than losing access to those other things.” I would guess those percentages are more divergent today. What cars were to my generation (and probably your mom’s) is what iphones and online gaming are for yours: freedom and connection to peers. And while I’m often surprised that younger guys don’t care about cars or motorcycles, a few generations from now they might be as rare as horses.

What’s wrong with my car amp wiring?

I just got two new read speakers for my car and my buddy gave me an old amp and he told me how to wire it to it and I did so and for some reason the speakers now only play bass. They only viberate and do not play any parts of the song. Please help me out. Could be something plugged in wrong or something wrong with the amp?

Husband keeps getting into car accidents. Is there something wrong with him?

My husband is a HORRIBLE driver. He doesn't pay attention while driving. He got his new truck last summer. The first day he had it he was trying to hitch up a flatbed trailer...and hit it. Later that day, when backing the trailer up, he hit something else. He rear-ended a car in the fall, pulled out in front of someone last week and was hit, and yesterday backed up into a tree. I'd like to think there is something more here than just not paying attention/stupidity! Any thoughts? Vision? ADHD?

Check engine light comes on when nothing is wrong with the car?

Last year i went to get my car inspected and it didnt pass because a check engine light was on. I took it to the dealership and they said nothing was wrong with it (nothing wrong with emissions)..and the car passed inspection....a little while later the light came back on and I have just ignored it for a year because I thought it either came on because there is an automatic setting in the car that makes it come on so somebody can make a profit off an expensive part that doesnt need to be replaced or perhaps it was caused by heat during the summer.....I hope someone can tell me why this happens when their is nothing wrong with the car because Im really curious and it would save me money. I went for an entire year with the light on and nothing went wrong with the car at all. So now i needed it inspected again so I unhooked the battery so the light would go off.... I took it to an oil change place and it passed the safety part of the test...but unbeknownst to me they also hook it up to some computer and could tell that the battery had been unhooked or something. So they told me i had to drive it at a certain speed for 60 miles or so before they could complete the inspection. I hope someone can explain what is truely going on with the engine light.....is it some kind of scam to get people to spend tons of money on car parts they dont need???

Are both of these sentences correct,“There’s something wrong with my car” and “I can smell gasoline/I smell gasoline?”

Pretty much. If you are smelling gasoline from inside the car, yes “something IS wrong with your car”

What's wrong with my car if I can smell gas while I am driving?

Presuming a fuel injected car, I'd guess the answer is that you have a fuel leak.  It would most likely be from a hose or hose fitting in the engine compartment.  A strong smell of gas would indicate that it's leaking in the engine compartment, and being vaproized.  Perhaps a drop hitting the exhaust, or a tiny spray from a small hole that leaks when you hit a bump that hits the engine block.  This vapor would get sucked in the air intakes at the base of the windshield and into the cabin for your sniffing pleasure. Most of the fuel system other than the fuel lines is behind the driver, and less likely to be sucked into the cabin to be smelled.  Unless you are smelling it when you stop, not while driving.  In that case, it'd more likely be from the back of the car, not a fuel line.  Though, when I say "fuel line" I should note that the fuel filter is usually in-line in the fuel line in the engine bay.  A leak in the "fuel line" would include the possibility of a leak in the fuel filter, or the connectors around it.So it's important to note whether the smell is only while driving, only while stopped, or primarily one or the other, as well as the car make and model. If you are smelling gas while driving a VW Bug, the opposite of what I said would apply.  The tank is in the front, and the engine and fuel filter in the back for the VW.

What’s wrong with my car?

I drive a 2017 Hyundai Elantra. Yesterday randomly I noticed that when I put my car in drive or reverse, it hardly moves or doesn’t move at all. Once I give it gas it moves and I can drive it like normal, but it barely moves while I’m not giving it gas. I am quite a bit overdue for my next oil change, I’m at 21k miles and this will be the third oil change. No check engine light or anything. What could it be?
