Mouse or Drawing Pad, Which one should an amateur graphic designer use?
Use both.The mouse is just faster at a lot of run of the mill design stuff.. like doing layouts, arranging things and tweaking vector nodes.The tablet/pad is great for when you need to get in there and draw.infact do not use the trackpad(if on a laptop).
Can you use a drawing tablet without a computer?
I don't think so! as I know there are generally two types of tablets which one is USB and works with a pc or mac, so you cannot work without any computer. the second one is a pc itself, something like a notebook. you can find this one on HP website. I don't think you could find any graphic pad for drawing but using no computer!
What is an Art Tablet Thing?
I think you'd be refferring to a 'Graphics Tablet', I have one myself. Mine looks exactly like this; http://www.edwud.com/photos/wacom_intuos3_a6_wide_graphics_tablet.jpg (Wacom Graphics Tablet). The Graphics Tablet is plugged into the computer through a usb-like cord, and using the pen you draw onto the Graphics Tablet which goes directly onto the computer. Simply put, its just a tool artists use so they can actually draw on the computer, instead of the tedious method of moving the cursor around. Is it bad for a graphic tablet to be scratched?
i thought the same thing when i first bought my intuos4 tablet. but it's normal for your pen to leave marks on the drawing surface. you're not pressing too hard, its normal to press hard since it detects how hard you press. they even sell replacement surfaces for when they get really scratched after awhile. plus, when its really scratching, it means you've been drawing a lot, thats always a good thing, right?lol
Wacom Drawing Tablets/Pads? Help?
Hello! I'd thank everyone who answers my questions about them, so here goes ^^ I know what the Wacom pads are, they're for digital drawing, but the thing is, I don't know about the differences between them. We have... Bamboo, Graphic, Cintique and Intuos4 (I only know these). I know that they have different sensitivity.. But not very sure what any of that means... >.> Can you tell me the difference between all these? Do I need a computer to draw on these, or I can just draw and save them? Say if I bought one of them, do I need a computer, or internet? Do I need to buy programs (Sai, Photoshop, Gimp, and so on), or the pad has a program in it already or..? Am I supposed to connect a laptop with internet to the thingy to draw and upload my drawings? Does something matter if I have a MacBook (that's the laptop I have)? I'd really like to buy one of these. I don't mind the price, I just want to know the differences and what's needed. Medion Graphics Tablet (MD p82012) Pen Replacement?
The medion tablets are the same oem manufacturer (Waltop) as almost all non-wacom brands including adesso (cybertablet), aiptek (hyperpen), genius, trust, manhattan, uc-logic, pentagram, digipro, monoprice, and countless others so you may have some luck looking for any of those brands that sell replacements and just try to get a picture first to make sure it looks like the pen for yours (though they may be different colors, the shape is usually identical across all brands and models that work together.) I know that vistablet, genius, adesso, and aiptek have some online stores that carry replacements, but the monoprice one is cheapest (if it looks like yours, I would go with that one.) Try any of those above (.com) and check their online store for starters and just compare the pictured items with the pen that came with your model - if it looks the same it's a good bet it IS the same.
