Is This A Good Way To Change The Rules Of Football

How to change espn fantasy football rules?

You can.. In your league page go to Settings then to the Transactions and Keepers tab and scroll down to Acquisition and Waiver Rules and select "No Waivers"..

Should football change the rules for penalties?

I personally favor it the way it stands. During the match, it's supposed to be very likely goal, for it was most likely awarded for bad tackle or handling ball in a way that has denied the opponent a good opportunity. In shootouts, it highly depends on the goalie, and from my experience, more often than not the game finishes within the 5x5 takes. What's true is that, once you miss a shot or two, it's almost over. But this is what makes it more exciting when things go against the odds.Mostafa Maleki has a good suggestion in #2, similar to hockey (or at least used to), but I don't feel it will be as exciting. Maybe they can test it in friendly tournament?

Football (Soccer): What rules would you change?

Here is a few I would like to change:Relax on the offside rule. Referees are shown to get offsides wrong 3x a match and goals are too often wrongly ruled out. Relaxing the offsides rule will give referees so much more room. Unless the player is obviously offsides, the game is played on which would increase goal tallies.Get rid of numerous rules protecting goalkeepers. Being the keeper is the most protected position in the game. Due to the high number of injuries keepers received from players going right after the ball and trying to nick it off of them. I was in support of numerous rules giving them protection, but the system we have right now is too much. For touching the keeper is a foul and to beat him in the air is a foul.Instant replays. This is already in practice in the likes of the Netherlands, but it has to improve or it will ruin the flow of the game.Get rid of two legged fixtures and replays from domestic cup competitions. Domestic cups give glory to smaller sides and gives the possibility of giant killings. However, the two legged fixtures in countries like Spain and their Copa del Rey ruin it. It takes away glory from smaller sides as Barca or Real will just win in the second leg if they screw up the first. It ends up being the two best teams facing in the final, that is what a league is for and you’ll never see sides like Levante seek glory. Replays also put havoc on teams who need to rest their squad. Get it over and done with immediately because teams like Man Utd have way too many fixtures to add replays.Limit managers a club can have during a season to 2 or 3. It is obvious isn’t it? Way too many sackings in today’s football and coaches are expected to almost go invincible or out the door. Truly sickening and limiting managers to 2 or 3 would give managers some sort of protection.Get every Premier League club to adopt safe standing. Fans are almost boring at times and the atmosphere in grounds are becoming worse and worse. I understand the safety procedures needed, but it has gone too far. Bringing safe standing to England would do a world of good.Getting rid of protections for referees. Referees should be respected officials etc, I get that, they run the game. However, punishments should be handed out to referees if they make bad calls or have a poor game. These people shouldn’t be allowed to be complete dictators in the game and there needs to be some level of punishments.

What are some rule changes that would make football (soccer) a more exciting game?

I think football is already a beautiful game that doesn't need to be changed. But that being said, there is one thing I think could make it a bit more exciting. The thing I love about football is how fluid the formations can be. Excluding the keeper, anyone can fill any role at any point in time. A defender is just as capable of making an attacking run as a striker is at defending the goal. However, there can only be one person playing keeper on the field at any time.Imagine how interesting it would be to see someone swap positions with the keeper mid match. For example, let's say a corner is being taken. The keeper collects the ball and sees a large opening on the field. With the space rapidly closing, he decides to take advantage of the opportunity and make a run.Although this situation arises in football, it rarely unfolds this way because doing so would leave the goal wide open, making for a fairly easy counter attack with the keeper out of the box.Now let's say the same situation unfolds and the keeper exits the box to lead a counter attack. A defender drops back to play in goal while the keeper makes his run. The defender would be able to make saves and punt the ball until the main keeper returns to the box. This could allow for more spectacular runs by keepers while never leaving the goal unattended.

Changing fantasy football rules midseason?

If your league commissioner had meant to do something regarding the rules or scoring system but forgot, I say tough luck. The fairest thing to do is to continue playing with the same set of rules you began with at the start of the season.
Assuming your league had a draft, this flex change isn't fair because everyone has already selected their players and one owner (the commish, perhaps?) may have better tight ends than everyone else. I mean, it's three weeks into the season and he now discovers that he 'forgot' to allow Tight Ends as a flex position?! lol I'm not buying it.
No idea how strong your friendship is with this guy but if I were in your shoes and he went ahead and switched the rules mid-season, I'd quit and demand my money back (if an entry fee was paid).
Strictly my opinion.

If you could change any NFL rules, what would they be?

I'd change:
1 foot inbounds maintained possession instead of 2 (makes the game more exciting, more points, less replays)
Get rid of false starts and illegal motions (who cares if someone is moving on offense, last I check is the defense can move all they want)
Punter kicks it out of bounds is a 10 yard penalty (if you are going to penalize the kickoff for kicking it out of bounds then you should penalize the punter, plus forces potential punt returns)
pass interference (unless grabbing or holding a body part or jersey, holding calls still stand)

Also...
2 minute warning
clock starts when the chains are moved

What is the best way to learn the rules of NFL football?

The NFL rule book (with its accompanying picture guide) is over 230 pages long. The league also changes a handful of rules *every* year. For context, the NBA (national basketball association) has a rule book of about 60 pages. Most of the rules/ exceptions do not come up often enough for most people to be expected to know.Official NFL referees and coaches do not know all the rules at all times (much less all ~1600 NFL players during the season). In fact, in 2015 one game had several errors made by refs that were non-reviewable, meaning a ref made a mistake, everyone knew it was wrong, but they could not re-do the play/change the ruling NFL on whistle halting Pats' play: 'Was a mistake'Here is an article summing up the rules’ complexity NFL Nation Says: Rulebook complexityThe good news is that most other people do not know the “super-detailed” exceptions (several times a year, most people have no idea what is going on— all of Twitter, thousands of fans in real-time clamor for the answer)The best way to know “enough” of the rules is to read a few articles (Wikipedia, football for dummies) on the basics, DVR a few games and pause when you don't understand a play/ruling. Eventually it gets much easier, where you need to look up fewer and fewer rules and then you learn what situations/rules come up more often (off sides, delay of game, 12 men on the field, 2 point conversion basics) vs less (player eligibility substitutions, exceptions in the last 2 minutes of the game, “subjective” rulings, some “non-reviewable” plays, etc)

How do I change my fantasy football manager name?

Yeah, I have had problems with changes of that and the avatar, etc. Sometimes, it seems to work if I reboot right after making the change. If this does not work for you contact Yahoo directly. There is a way in the rules.

Good luck.

What would be the best rules change to increase how many goals are scored in soccer?

How about modifying the off-side rule such that, It is deemed an offisde offence ONLY when the ball was passed from your half to opposite half and the recieving player was standing offiside at the time of pass.  i.e. single player has to take the ball from one side of the half line to the other and not pass it accross. This should serve the purpose of why the offside rule was originaly created. (.. player standing near the opp. goal post )Now, once a team has carried the ball into opposite half, this means it has already given enough time for the opposite team to fall back and defend. They should be free to pass the ball wherever/whoever they want without being penalized.I think Offisde rule makes the game too complicated. and defenders use the offside tactics such as Offside-trap which i believe is not inline with the spirit of football.eg : .. this is just killing the game.On the same lines, how about making it an offence when team passes from their half to opposite.... i.e. team has to carry (play) the ball in the opposite half and not pass it accross..... well this is just doing too much i guess :)
