Is This Computer Good For Gaming

What would be a good computer to use for gaming?

You generally don't want to buy a computer as a single piece because that gets needlessly expensive.Currently, the absolute Max performance you can get from any hardware currently in circulation is a combination of:An NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan VAn Intel Core i7 8700K or an AMD Ryzen 2700XAs much RAM as you can fit on your motherboardAnd an SSD.However, if you can wait a month, you can buy a GTX 2080 ti which is supposed to be significantly faster than a Titan V, although you should probably check some actual benchmarks before buying it rather than just taking Nvidia's word for it.Also Intel is supposed to release the 9000 series processors sometime in the possibly near future, I'm not entirely certain. That said, the above components really aren't the best value for money, particularly the Titan V is overpriced, actually the prices of Graphics cards and Ram in General are very high right now.

Is this Gateway computer a good gaming computer?

I went to Best Buy and saw this computer- Gateway® SX2841-09e Desktop
http://www.gateway.com/systems/product/529668741.php
If i were to purchase this computer, I would use it for gaming. The one game i'd mainly use it for is The Sims 2. The guy at our local Best Buy told us that it could easily handle the game, but the last time my sister bought a computer for gaming and asked about that game, one employee told us it was very unlikely with the laptop she purchased, but the computer crashed several weeks later. I'd like a second opinion. Thanks! :)

Are Compaq(Computers) good for gaming?

We bought a Compaq Presario CQ5328F computer, AMD Athlon 2, Dual Core 2.7 Ghz, for $399 canadian, once I seen the vacant PCIExpress x 16 slot I took my savings and added Corsair TX 850 W (watt) power supply $179, 4 GB of Kingston Hyper X DDR2 memory $149, and Sapphire HD 5670 1GB of GDDR5 memory $129, the power supply is 400 watts more than I need for the HD 5670, but I can easily upgrade to any single heavy duty video card like say the fastest card out now the Sapphire HD 5970 Toxic 4GB of memory that needs a 850 watt power supply. So if a compaq computer has a HD 5670 or better you can play any game out there just not maxed out, better to have high end card 5850 or better. Or if it has PCIExpress x 16 slot you may upgrade in future. SEE www.originpc.com see Genesis gaming computer or for gaming laptop EON 18 can come with TWO ATI HD 5870s. Origin PC is a new company made by some of the original Alienware prsonnel. Also see HailStorm @ www.digitalstormonline.com or the Shift @ www.maingear.com. Also NOTE that AMD is going to drop ATI name and their new videos cards are going to Rule; Nov. 2010 the new Cayman 6850/6870 are to roll out, and Dec. 2010 the heavy duty Antilles 6970 is to roll out, the Sapphire TOXIC HD 5970 4 GB is top dog right now, these new cards way better, can't wait!

only the gateway fx's are good for gaming
depending on your model, i cant tell if it is good for gaming
like i said, the fx line is purely for gaming
otherwise, the slimline, and the others are more home orriented

Best Gaming Computers?

For gaming, definitely go with a desktop. It's hard to get decent gaming performance on laptops for under $1000, and they aren't upgradeable later on.

While the absolute best value for your dollar comes building from scratch, there are plenty of better deals. The first system isn't good for gaming- the graphics card is worthless and would have to be replaced, the processors is also rather slow.

Here's a much better (and cheaper) choice:

Building from scratch you could get something much more powerul. Or you could spend another $150 to upgrade the graphics card and power supply on the this computer. But for WoW and Empire Total War, it wouldn't be necessary.
