Is This Lipstick Ok On Me/how Should I Change My Makeup

Can men wear lipstick?

OMG! Yes, a guy can wear lipstick! I've been wearing lipstick for the past couple of years and have had many trials and errors in selecting a lipstick. It can be overwhelming considering not only in selecting a color but taking into account whether you want a gloss, matte, lustre, creamsheen or glass finish on a lipstick. What has helped me tremendously is going to my local MAC cosmetics store and getting a firsthand look at the numerous shades and sheens in person. I typically find a color I like and either swab it onto my inside wrist or the back of my hand. Once I've narrowed my selection down I have a MAC stylist assist me in finding what works best for my skin tone. I have found the stylist at MAC are more than willing to help out and it's always a helpful getting a second opinion. My personal lipstick colors tend to fall more to the peach, umber and nude tones but I do have a few deeper shades I like to wear when the mood strikes. I have also come to the decision I don't really like frost and gloss finishes on myself. I've included some of my current faves in the pics!Ultimately you should wear whatever you're happy with and have no concern to what other people may think as I wear lipstick for myself and no one else.Mwuah!

Is it okay to mix brands of makeup?

well if you ask neutrogena or clinque they will tell you not to mix but that is only because they want you to buy thier product.

Yes it is fine to mix. What ever works best for you. I have been doing it for years. And you will probably will change as your skin changes with age.

IS RED LIPSTICK EVERDAY OK?

so im a senior in high school, and i really love fashion and expressing myself through clothes and hair and i love changing up my look and getting inspirired by different things and focusing on one look for a long period of time. so last year i was ultra fem and girly, but im really getting insipred by elizabeth taylor, dorthy dandridgeand marilyn monroe, and selena quintanilla even though she was pretty recent. i love he 50s and 60s so i wanted to recreat that type of retro look, and i wanted to wear red lipstick on a regular basis like to school and stuff, is that ok, or is it to much. how would you feel abou me if you saw me at school and i was wearing it please let me know?

Is it wrong when makeup changes your appearance too much?

You’re frankly incorrect. Makeup does not change the structure of a face.Lipstick colors lips. That’s all.Mascara lengthens eyelashes. That’s all.Bronzer may make someone look like a bit of sun-kissed color. That’s all.Eyeliner emphasizes one’s eyes. That’s all.Eyeshadow further emphasizes one’s eyes. That’s all.Concealer will cover somewhat little flaws. That’s all.Powder makes a face look less dewy, more matte. That’s all. This is not changing a face, not at all. Your beliefs are categorically incorrect.Indeed, lips may be more pale without lipstick, eyelashes less dark and lush. Not changing a face at all.Makeup is something women enjoy playing with, and increasingly men are using a bit of this. You should google photos of women with and without makeup. It is not changing the structure of a face in any case.

I have strep throat. Should I throw away makeup I handled? I didn't use it, I only picked it up.?

No need to be scared about those germs. Once your body has fought off that strep throat virus, it should be able to fight it off the next time it encounters it. The virus will be the same anyways (from your makeup), so no fear. And don't spray it with lysol..if you spray it with lysol that makes your makeup toxic to your skin...

Replying to your edited question - no need to. I've definitely used makeup that I touched when I was sick(went to school sick and I put makeup on everyday), and I'm still fine. Just trust me, you don't need to wipe them down with anything. Just leave them as is. Your toothbrush is covered in the virus anyways as well as your toothpaste. But you aren't going to throw them away are you? They are fine as is and won't make you more sick/sick again.

Is makeup OK on a passport photo?

Generally, as far as the picture goes, what they are using are biometric scans that primarily focus on your eyes (which is why they prefer you not wear glasses with passport photos any longer).  So they really aren't caring about scars or birthmarks or a broken nose, as long as you are not smiling (uh uh uh, that squints your eyes, lass) and that you don't have any glare over your eyes.  Side bar - don't wear a pure white tee-shirt.  If you have long (or long-sh) hair, do not wear a tank-top.

Do stores like Rite-Aid or CVS have good, cheap makeup?

Yes, they have cheap make up......is it good? Not all of it. I would say for mascara and eye liners, even some powders and foundations are fine to buy there. The thing I've learned is that when you buy "cheap" eye shadows, they end up either fading out through out the day or else getting all in the creases of your eye lids. So, for those I'd go more for professional types. But, the way tech has advanced you really could be fine buying any type of make up at a drug store.

Try Wal-Mart or Target. They have all the same brands as CVS and their selection is huge.

How often should you replace a makeup sponge/wedge?

I would replace it probably every two to three weeks unless you are prone to acne then I would change them a little more often. If you notice that you are breaking out while replacing them every two weeks I would wash them with a mild soap every couple days.
