As a surgeon, what was your first 'real' procedure like? What surprised you most?

“As a surgeon, what was your first 'real' procedure like? What surprised you most?”To be honest here, It would be hard for a surgeon to pinpoint his “First” procedure. This is because during residency, you start by assisting and gradually parts of the operation are left to you. Soon you are doing the whole procedure with you senior assisting you.In Trauma and orthopaedics, the first procedure you end up doing yourself is fixing broken hips in the elderly. Either by giving them half a hip replacement or a dynamic hip screw depends on the type of break. They are so many that you find yourself fixing them pretty soon without your senior even bothering stepping into the theatre. What surprised me most is how automatic the surgery becomes. Before you know it, you are stitching and not even sure what happened inbetween you making that cut to the skin. You only drop from this automatic mode when something is not going as it should.

When should I get a Real ID? What's the procedure to apply for one?

What is the procedure for drug seizure on real property?

Asset forfeiture is the civil part of a criminal issue.

When a suspect is arrested, it's possible that their vehicle, boat, house, property, etc., be considered seizurable under the laws of the state.

A criminal offense report is completed and also a Condemnation/Seizure Application is forwarded to the court for judgement by the court.

If it is proven that the asset is used to sell/store/conceal/manufacture/transport illegal drugs it is considered for forfeiture action.

If it can be proven that an asset was purchased through the illegal gains of drug related activities, the asset can be considered for forfeiture.

Forgetting about the actual procedures,?

We re going to start doing some more traditional inferential statistics that will allow us to determine whether there are differences between (a) a sample and a population, (b) multiple different samples. The former will require us to use one-sample t-tests (Chapter 13), and the latter will require us to do independent and dependent samples t-tests and ANOVAs.

Forgetting about the actual procedures, give me an example of real-world research questions that would require you to do each of the following...

(a) determine whether a sample is different from a population

(b) whether two samples (i.e., groups) are different from each other.

In the movie "The Craft" - is Bonnie's medical procedure real? if so, what is it called?

I've always been so baffled by that part of the movie... Bonnie, the one with the burn scars, goes to the hospital where they treat her with some kind of needle 'therapy'. What the heck is going on here?
