Does weight-lifting stunt penis growth?

Hi, Im 15, turning 16 in July. I have been doing weight lifting for the last 3 months. I workout mostly upper body, and occasionally my legs. I workout on average 3 times a week, and not full hard core workouts, just a good weight-lifting session. I do cardio, and play soccer as well. Doing these things, as I know weight-lifting stunts growth, will that also stunt the growth of my Penis? Im 5'5 in height, 145lbs, and my penis is exactly 5" when erect, and 3.5" girth. If I continue this routine for the next 3 years, would that make a diffrence to my Penis growth?

Does weightlifting stunt your growth?

Ha ha No, it wont stunt your growth its a old wives tale. Im a exercise science student and heres a paper i wrote quickly for people who thought this...

The old wives tale that weight training can stunt growth has stopped many young individuals from the benefits of weight training. Weight training will not stunt growth; it is actually good for your bones and muscles.

---What does it mean to stunt growth?---
A soft area of cartilage near the end of a growing bone is called a growth plate. Growth plates regulate the bone shape and eventual length. When you stop growing the growth plates harden or ossify and become identical to the rest of the bone.
If a younger person with growth plates still soft suffers an accident, and the bone growth plate is weaker then the ligaments, he may suffer a growth plate fracture which could stunt bone growth.

---But here’s the thing ---
Although injuries to the growth plate may cause stunted growth if not taken care of growth plate injuries are not common in weight lifting. You don’t get hit on your ankles during weight lifting like with Soccer. You don’t have hard hits like in Football or hockey. Really the only way you can fracture your bones is by letting weights fall on you; which could be prevented with proper safety measures.

---Why do people think that it does stunt growth? ---
People may think that weight lifting stunts growth because generally, competitive lifters are short. It is easier to lift weight above their head if they are shorter. But if you look at some famous body builders and people who did lift at a young age like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Shaquille O’Neal, and Michael Vick, they are all over 6ft tall.

---Weight training for youth ---***
Resistance training strengthens bones and muscles which can actually prevent injuries. Resistance training sets a good example for a healthy lifestyle if done properly. Youth and adults should warm up, have proper technique, supervision and start with light weights for first timers.

---In Conclusion ---
Telling people that weight training will stunt growth is not only wrong, it can be harmful. The risk of injuring your growth plate from recreational activities is no reason for youth to be stopped from the many positive benefits of strength training.
