How much do you make monthly making $8 an hour?

Hi there, I just started working at an amusement park. So I'm going to work a total of 48 hours per week, and I get paid $8 per hour. I was wondering how much money I would make each month.

Thank you~

I work full time for $8 an hour. I have $0 savings. My highest education is a GED. How can I make $50,000 by July 4, 2019?

Arm yourself with a skill set in which the free market is willing to pay for. There are 168 hours in a week. You’re working 40 hours, (presumably) sleeping 50 hours, so you are left with 78 hours per week to learn new skills. Start learning. Determine what you want to do, and go for it. Come up with a plan, and stick to it. That’s it. Good luck to you.

Won't work for minimum wage?

I'm 18 years old and before I say anything I want to say that I am not lazy or spoiled. I have paid for most of the stuff I own with my own money but I keep telling my parents I am just not going to work for minimum wage. In my state minimum wage is about 8 dollars and hour why is not livable on by any means and I also can't go to college with that kind of income. There is also little ability to move up on the payscale by much at all. Personally I think it is worth nobody time to work minimum wage at such a poor payment. My dad never went to college and he makes ver 70 grand, my grandpa made over 100 grand a year at GM with no college. Then there's me, no college also but I can only make 8 dollars an hour. Other than the job experience how is this worth my time? It won't change my life it won't get me anywhere. I know how to computer program but I can't get my degree working on minimum wage what am I left t do. My parents do not understand because minimum wage went a lot further than it does today. Also you could get a good paying job for honest work. Age should not be a factor, if I put in my 40 hours just like a middle class person with same level education I should have similar or at least fair pay.

Why is it so hard to find someone to work $8 hour with no experience? I do evaluations at 3 months and upon meeting expectations raise pay rate to $10.

Because $8 an hour does not cover the minimum costs of food, shelter, and healthcare required to keep your employee alive to do labor for you. Neither does $10 an hour. This means you've already limited your labor pool to people who already have access to food, shelter, and healthcare sufficient to keep them alive to do labor. And if they have that, why should they sell their own time for $8 an hour, except as a favor to you?Pay what it takes to keep your staff alive and healthy enough to work, and you'll get staff who are engaged in that work.

Is an $8/hour summer internship in web and digital design worth it?

Any paid internship is worth it. Even if it's just 1 dollar per hour. The point of an internship is not to get paid, but to gain real world experience in the career field of your choice. Any job will choose a non graduate with internship experience, over a graduate with no internship experience.Hope this helps :)

Is $8 an hour good pay?

I'm 16 and applied for a job at Target, the pay is $8 per hour-which is a little more than minimum wage where I live.

THIS QUESTION came up in the online application:

"Are you at least 18 years old but not yet 40 years old?"
"Yes" or "No"

I'm 16 so I say no right? I don't mean to sound stupid but I feel like this question is worded strangely.

Is $8 an hour good pay???

I notice you later say that you are in college, and it is just a job at the drug store. I think this is pretty good pay, considering minimum wage is $5.75 ... well here it is atleast. Don't expect much, if any raises working at a job like that ... unless you become a manager of some sort.
