Isis - Would You Prefer To Fight Them Over There Or Over Here

Are liberals worse than ISIS, should we fight them instead?

Obviously Hollywood, the liberal media, and universities are way more of a threat than ISIS. We should be sending boots on the ground in Hollywood, at UCLA, and at the MSNBC headquarters instead of in Iraq.

Why don't the refugees stay to fight for their country, rather than traveling to countries who obviously hate them? Why won't they fight ISIS off their lands?

Well, I will write my answer as a Syrian but without specifying the side which I'm going to fight with.I considered fighting several times, even after I left the country to continue my university studies. It's not an easy decision, especially to consider your family and everything that you are going to leave behind. Why I didn't fight? Because you don't know what's going on the ground! You cannot understand and you cannot blame anyone. one day it was between government and Free Army, second day you have more than 5 groups fighting each others ! Also, when I just had a look on who is fighting with Free Army, I found a lot of my friends with no eduction. I'm not trying to be arrogant, but a lot of people think that the revolution is the way for them to have a good life, though they didn't even try to study hard to change their selves.I know that there were a lot of factors that affected our life, but we shouldn't use it as an excuse, since we didn't try our best as I believe.Anyone, who has thought about fighting in Syria should have a goal and be realistic not dramatic, as we all are. If I joined group A to fight group B and then group C came and killed me ! What is the purpose of that?! Where am I going ? Does it really make sense ?! I think no. if it was a fight between A & B for sure, I would join, otherwise it's just a waste of souls and will lead to nothing, and you will be the only loser here ! No one from the upper class will be affected ! It's just more blood, more sadness and that's all cause nobody wants to help & everyone wants the cake for himself ! Nobody is considering sharing it.

How do I join the fight against ISIS?

Keep in mind that I am not encouraging this. While ISIS is a menace which needs to be stopped, I believe we need to adequately supply regional militias and the Iraqi government, as well as the Kurds, to help defeat them. I don't think it's smart for a common man to travel hundreds of miles away to fight a group of loosely-connected, but still dangerous, Islamic extremists. That being said, there are a few ways you can do this. The first is way is by finding a group which is doing two things - actively fighting ISIS, and accepting volunteers to do so. The Peshmerga, the army of Iraqi Kurdistan, is no longer accepting foreign volunteers, so depending o your desired location to be deployed, you may want to look into regional groups that are hiring. The YPG (People's Protection Units), are accepting foreign volunteers, I believe. So, you would first need to contact them on their website or facebook page (although it might be hard to find the official one), and book a flight to Syria once you're accepted.Keep in mind that there are many, MANY more intricate details which go in to youbeing deployed to combat ISIS, which is why I think you should not do it. You can support the fight against ISIS in many ways other than direct combat, such as donations or simply keeping up morale at home.

Why do people say soldiers fight for our freedom?

I always felt soldiers can only fight for "freedom" if their country is being attacked on its own soil and threatened with enemy occupation, e.g...In United States, I think a lot of soldiers also fight not for "freedom" but because they are from impoverished lower class areas and it's only job they can get unless they fancy life of crime, etc. They figure they can use G.I. Bill benefits to attend college gratis, etc, IF they don't end up getting killed in an actual war, that is. They take gamble and allow selves to be used as cannon fodder to have same opportunities rich people have w/o having to put up their lives/their kids lives for collateral... Creedence Clearwater Revival wrote good song about it ("It Ain't Me") 4 those of us who grew up in '60s

Why haven't we defeated ISIS yet??!!?

I've researched a bit of it and I learned that Obama's kind of reluctant to fight them as much as we should.. but WHY?? We're the land of the free! We should be protecting other countries from insane extremists like these!! I learned that now they've killed a Japanese man and it's just gone WAY overboard. I know that pretty much every country's sick of them, so WHY haven't we pounded them into the dust?!?? Sorry I get really fired up over this... but if anyone has any idea why, then please tell me I'm really lost here. Thank you

Should they convert ISIS and Syrians to atheism?

You should read what the so-called “Islamic State” writes. They have two propaganda magazines: Dabiq and Rumiyah. You can read them here: The Islamic State's (ISIS, ISIL) Magazine. You will find that they hate all non-Muslims for refusing to accept Islam and to obey the Caliph. More: they hate Muslims who do not obey the Caliph. They boast that when “the Crusaders” come to Syria to fight them, God will give them victory. They constantly and incessantly cite the Quran as proof of their words. In short, they are not open to changing their minds about anything. The Caliph, al-Baghdadi, certainly will not. If he were to change his mind about something so big as to whether God exists, he would lose his authority.Nor will the rank-and-file jihadists be open to changing their minds; not when that would involve soul-searching about whether all the blood they have shed was right or wrong. We cannot change their minds about this. Only they can open their minds to change; and there is no sign that will happen anytime sooner than Hell freezing over.
