Israel What Do You Think About This How Can We Help Our

Who do you think will hit Iran first Israel or America?

I think that it will be a coalition of Nations joined together as in the 1991 Gulf War and I think Israel will be a part of the coalition, however to maintain the stability of the area Israel will be asked to be a non-combatant member unless they are attacked first as was the agreement in 1991. Unlike Saddam and his Scud attacks on Israel, I believe that Iran would attack using Nuclear Weapons and should that happen I believe the whole Middle East will be a parking lot for those who visit Turkey for the next couple of hundred years. If Israel would attack first they would have all the Muslim practicing countries of the Middle East on top of them, not that it would make a difference to Israel how many countries would come after them they will fight valiantly to preserve what they have. I believe that it will be coalition forces and that Iran may strike the first blow, however we are still way to far out from this happening. If they will comply with the U.N. possibly none of this will happen.

Do you think that Israel Over-reacted with their response to Lebanon?

I'm a foreigner currently residing in Israel, thus I cannot really say my answer will be absolutely fair.

Emotionally I sympathize with Israel, and grief for the Lebanese.

I'd experienced Arafat's death, Sharon's coma, Olmert's election and now the fighting in the North of Israel. (Sad to say, Northern Israel is my favorite area, it saddens me to know that I'll never get to go there again, not in the immediate future.)

So as to say, I felt that it's one event leading to another, purely coincidence and basic reactions from all parties. The attack on Lebanon does look impulsive and over reactive, IF one chooses to forget Middle East history before the recent World Cup(still remember Zidane? I bet everyone has clean forgotten about him by now.) and decide that the current conflict is sudden in nature.

Hezbollah had been left alone for a long time and I believe no one except themselves know how much they had been planning and preparing for this day. Once they start a war, only chance of ending it is when they run out of rockets and suicide bombers. From my point of view, Israel is ill-prepared. From the day Sharon went into coma, Israel had been busying herself with the idea of changing Hamas's agenda, building the separation wall and gaining international support.

But in reality, I don't believe Israel is successful with the part about International recognition. I was in front of the internet and television for the past 2 days, watching Internet, Skynews, CNN and local news channel. The world reported on the Lebonese side with great sympathy and lukewarm attitude on Israel's side. (Skynews is still quite neutral though). While the local news are really "local", reporting only on what is important to the Israelis. Even the Lebanese Prime minister's plea is much more convincing than the legitimacy of Israel's actions. Why is the humane side of Israelis not shown to the world at all? Perhaps there wasn't enough being done to convince the world that Israelis wanted only Peace? Or has Israel been too absorbed with herself that they lost touch with the international community?

The world is not interested in justifications, sympathy will always be on the side with the largest no. of casualties.

Do you think it's time we let Israel fend for themselves?

Our support of Israel does come at a high price, but we get many benefits in return:

1) We need an unfailing ally in the Middle East. Other countries will turn their back on us in an instant if leadership changes, but Israel won't.

2) They are in a unique position to assist the US in its war on terrorism. They gather intelligence for us that we could never get on our own.

3) Most Arab military action is directed at Israel instead of the US. Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Queda and other groups attack Israel daily - while we sit over here in relative safety. As long as Arab aggression is focused on Israel, the US gets off easy.

4) Israel is in some ways our proxy in the middle east. They have knocked out nuclear installations and military installations in Arab countries on our behalf. They are more than willing to attack Iran's developing nuclear facilities should it become necessary - sparing the US from having to do it.

5) Israel and the US have a common enemy: Arab terrorists.

But the real reason to support Israel is because it is the right thing to do morally and strategically.

1) The US was instrumental in creating Israel so we bear some responsibility for protecting it.

2) Iran, Hamas and other Arab groups and countries have stated that it is there goal to annihalate all Jews. Genecide is wrong and the US should not allow another holocost to occur.

3) Trivia question: Citizens of what nations have attacked the US in the last 15 years? Answer: Libia, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Pakistan... Do you see a common thread?

4) When was the last time a Jewish suicide bomber blew up innocent civilians in a marketplace? Never!

5) If you don't stand by your allys and friends - you won't have any allys and friends anymore!

6) The US has to continue to defend democracy.

In summary, I can't see a single reason to change sides in the middle east.

What is wrong with the Jews in Israel? Is Israel turning into WW2 Germany?

The British occupiers decreed the Palestinians(Arab Semitic White) should give the Jews(Semitic Whites closely related to the Arabs), displaced by the Nazis, half their land to make Israel. In 1936, several Jewish groups such as Etzel (Irgun) and Lehi (Stern Gang) conducted campaigns of violence against British military and Arab targets. This prompted the British government to label them both as terrorist organizations. The British and other countries armed , organized and assisted the Jewish terrorists(before 1948, that is what they were called), to overthrow the Palestinians. Quite literally, the Jews did to the Palestinians what the Nazis did to them-leave or die-there was NO payment-leave or die. This is STEALING, and, in many cases outright MURDER..The Israelis are still doing this in the West Bank and Gaza strips even though they conceded them to the Palestinians. So why do they remain, bulldozing houses, and many times, killing unarmed Palestinians and STEALING even more land for buffer zones-again, leave or die-NO payment-leave or die? Can you justify why the Israelis are doing this?Perhaps the British should suggest the Americans give half their land back to the American Indians-leave or die-Oh, wait, that is what they did to the Palestinians-bad move-I can guarantee, you would not give up half your land without a fight, even if the government could not protect you.The shoe is now on the other foot-the Palestinians want half of Jerusalem-now the Israelis refuse. If true Peace is to be achieved they must recognize each other's right to exist and to SHARE, not divide, JERUSALEM as a capital. At any rate, the Arab population, including in Israel, is growing much faster than the Jewish population.Within 30 years, maybe a little less, Israel will be a Jewish country with a majority Arab population-then what?

EDIT: To the thumbs down, you only have to view the news-Israel is occupying and taking Palestinian land-it is NOT the other way around-again , this is exactly the scenario the Nazis used on the Jews-LEAVE OR DIE and that is what the Jews are doing to the Palestinians with buffer zones and new settlements-DENY THAT-you simply can not.

Why does israel (our so called ally ) never send troops to help out america when we are coalitioning?

Ha! I love all the "we begged them not to fight bs." We are fighting the war for Israel to control the region to they can expand their illegal occupation. Don't be fooled. Israel is NOT our ally.

*edit*

That Israel stands by the US is disgusting. They have no resources because they have built their tiny nation on the backs of US taxpayers That's why they stand by the US.
