Itunes Isnt Even Showing My Ipod On It. How Can I Sync It

Itunes not responding when I sync my ipod nano?

It only does this one my main laptop. My other laptops, the ipod nano 4th gen syncs just fine.
Most of the time, Itunes just stops responding right away when I plug in the ipod. Sometimes, it gives me a warning saying that an ipod is detected but not identified. When I unplug the ipod though, my itunes goes back to working mode.

Is there any solution to this? I know for a fact that it's my itunes software/laptop not the ipod itself since it syncs fine every where else. -_______-

I've already uninstalled and reinstalled itunes, tried resetting the ipod, but it doesn't even show as "Ipod" on my itunes so syncing/restoring is impossible. The ipod charges will on USB, and it says "Connected" too before eventually being ejected by itunes

"Tones" tab isn't showing up on my iTunes?

Is this the new version of iTunes? You didn't say.

if it is, once you select Tones as a source, it will appear on the left hand side directly under Library.

Do you even see the sidebar on the left hand side? If not, you get that by clicking View/Show Sidebar.

So you basically need to do this:
(1) show the menubar; then
(2) show the sidebar. Then you will see Tones in the library.

If you don't know how to show the menubar you do it by clicking the small rectangle in the uppermost left hand corner. Click that and select "view menubar".

Then to see the side bar you click View, Show sidebar.

If you still can't see the Tones then you will have to put in a troubleshooting ticket to Apple tech spt.

Why isn't my Itunes giving me the option to sync?

I plugged my ipod into my computer in hopes of syncing my new songs onto it. But when I go to file, and try to select "sync" it isn't even an option. Up until now it hasn't been a problem. Why wouldn't it work now?

ITunes keeps canceling my sync!?

Maybe your iPod is out of memory, if it isn't try reinstalling iTunes, or call Apple

My itouch won't sync with itunes?

im pretty sure it is a 2nd generation ipod touch (the model is MC086LL)
when i plug it in to the computer, my ipod can recharge, but when i open itunes, there is no display underneath 'devices'.
i've already reinstalled my itunes (latest version!) and even when i restart my computer, nothing works!
sadly i think resetting my itouch to factory settings is a no, because the power button does not work!!
also, this was previously owned by someone else, so i do not know of the "restrictions passcode" when going to settings -> general->reset.

Brand new iphone 4s will not sync to itunes?

Brand New iphone 4s for christmas. I am trying to configure the phone and want to restore through itunes backup. I'm cool for a while my computer is really slow so I don't think anything of it. 1 hour later it still has not synced up with itunes. I have tried every usb port and i even switched cords why is it not syncing.

Why won't my iPod sync all the music in my iTunes library?

Double check if the songs on your iTunes library have same folder location as before. Sometimes iTunes does not indicate which songs it cannot find until you select them. Songs in your library that iTunes can't locate, won't be synced to your iPhone. In iTunes when you select the iPhone 4s, go to the Music tab - is "Entire music library" selected? If so, go to Music (in your iTunes library), click on the check mark next to the "Name" column header (to sort by checked music) and scroll to the bottom. Any unchecked music won't sync.Solution 1:on the summary tab, click “Manually manage videos” option. Now you can able to add music to your iPhone.Solution 2:Uncheck sync music in iTunes and apply changes.Recheck sync music option and apply changes.Note : If its not work, also turn off “Convert higher bitrate songs to 128kbps” option.Solution 3:Turn off sync music. delete music from iOS device in usage> manage storage.

Why won't my iPad sync movies with iTunes?

This happened to me a lot when I first got my iPhone. I realized later that the movies I was trying to sync were not of a compatible format. By default, iDevice will sync only mp4 movies. Sadly it did not even throw an error that the format wasn't compatible (I used iTunes 10). Since then, I purchased a movie player app and copy and paste movies directly into the app. You can try VLC player, Buzz Player, G Player for that. I hope that helps with the sync issue.
