How do you remove kool aid hair dye?
I dyed a blue streak in my blonde hair a few days ago with kool aid, and the color came out awesome! However, I just found out about a church-related function that I have to go to in about 2 weeks and I would prefer to have the color out by then. I know kool aid is considered a semipermanent dye and can usually last up to a month, but I was wondering if there's anything I can do to make it fade faster? I have a streak in my hair so getting it cut out is not an option, and neither is redying my hair. So far, I've tried: -Toothpaste: Absolutely no effect on the dye whatsoever. All I did though was rub it into a piece of hair and soak it in hot water afterwards...is there something else I should have done? -Dawn Dish Soap: I scrubbed the dyed hair in Dawn and then soaked it in near-boiling water. It got some of the dye out, but nowhere near all of it. -Lestoil: Lestoil is a stainlifter for laundry. I did the same thing as with Dawn and got basically the same results, except not quite as good as with Dawn. -Suave Clarifying Shampoo: It seems to be gradually fading the dye somewhat, but the blue is still really noticable, especially on the ends. It's also been drying my hair out a lot (even with good conditioner), so I don't know how much longer I can keep using it daily. If the only other way to get the kool aid dye out of my hair is to bleach it or redye it, then I'll just live with the color until it washes out. But if anyone has any other ideas how to remove the dye WITHOUT stripping my natural color as well, let me know please! Thanks :)

Don't shower for 24 hours after you do it, but then you should be fine. I washed mine normally everyday and now three months later, my color is still noticeable..

Dyed our cat with red kool-aid (no sugar in mix, mixed with shampoo and shampooed into hair.) She's now a pastel pink. My mom washed her and she's still pink. How long will it stay in? Any fixes to de-stain her? Please help!!!

Dish soap, use a little amount on the part of hair you dyed, rub it in until it begins to lather, then rinse it out, (this is going to make you hair feel a little dry, so use a moisturizing conditioner) if you used a dark color, you may have to repeat these steps a few times! good luck! if your hair is being stubborn, also try this: take a cup run EXTREMELY hot water then fill the cup to the top then take the strand of hair and soak it in it untill you see the color of the dye turn the water but i find it most helpful to put dish soap in the water it helps more than just the hot water!.............
Can I dye my hair with Kool-aid or Hawaiian Punch?
you can do it, but it won't be bright red. It will only look red when the light catches it, and it will rub off on everything. I use to do it a lot as a kid. Buy a ton of kool aid packs, dump them into a bowl, put enough water in it to make a paste, as thick as pancake mix maybe, and jus slather it on your whole head. Put vaseline on your hair line, and ears and neck, so it doesn't stain your skin and let it sit for as long as possible. Rinse it out with cold water, no shampoo or conditioner use an old shirt or towel to dry it, and wear an old shirt so you can let it air dry. Don't wear white the next day of your hair will be touching your clothes. HTH Good luck!

I know i asked a similar question but this is what i meant. I didnt want the kool aid dye to come out and i just dyed it again and if i wet it without shampoo will it come out? Im in a rub so i need a quick answer
