Lip piercing w/ braces .?
I'm 15 years old, i've wanted my lip pierced for a very long time now and my mom is fine with it . The only problem i have with going through with it is the fact that i have braces, bottom and top . i don't think i will be getting them off any sooner than a year or so, and i really want this done . i don't have rubber bands or any of that junk in my mouth, just top and bottom brackets . i need to go to an oral surgeon soon though because the only baby tooth i have left won't come out and the adult tooth is growing up ? so would that cause problems with the piercing if i go ahead and get it ? my bottom teeth are already straight and perfect so i might get my bottom braces off sooner (hopefully) . i would want a stud and not a ring for when i first get it pierced . so that's a lot of information, hopefully you can help . ha thanks .
Verical labret piercing +braces...?
I think it'd look good! I've had my vertical labret for about a year and a half now and I still love it. There's also the plus side that it won't get caught in your braces :)
Lip piercing with braces?
It is possible, but I do not recommend it. Some piercers will do it, and some won't. If you get it done, your jewelry will probably snag on your braces. This can tear your piercing. I recommend getting something that is not on your mouth.

Okay so I got my snakebites done and I had braces, and they didnt look stupid or anything. But DAMN, they got caught so much that I couldnt eat at all. While eating, the metal would get stuck on my braces and one time it bent the metal of my braces. PLEASE PLEASE, wait. I sadly had to take my snakebites out just about a week ago (two-ish months I had kept them in). Please trust me, waiting is better because than you can keep them longer. I am going to wait until I get my braces off, than get my lips re-pierced.
Lip Piercing and Braces?
i think that if u keep your lip piercing it will make it uncomfortable at first. it might take some time to get used to the braces on your lower teeth period but with a lip piercing i think it will make it more difficult. u should take off your lip piercing and once youre done with the braces get it pierced again. and if u have an overbite i would suggest u get braces cuz then later u might regret it and it benefits u cuz then your teeth will end up looking great =)
Medusa Piercing with Braces?
Unless you got a higher medusa (the spot in the center of your upper lip, so we're talking about the same thing) the jewlery would be perfectly aligned to get caught on your braces almost constantly. Most of the medusas I see are done fairly close to the lip line. If you placed yours farther up it wouldn't be as likely to get caught. The best way to figure out if your plans will work it to take yourself to a great piercer. Have them inspect your mouth to see if the placement you prefer is possible with your braces still on. Your piercer will be able to make suggestions based on your anatomy to find a solution. Since everyone's mouth is built differently, people online really aren't going to be able to give you a final word.

I would think so. Ask the person who will be piercing you for advice on that. I would think the braces would get in the way, but who knows....
Would snake bite lip piercings work with braces???
You can have them, although your orthodontist will probalby pitch a fit about it. Some people never have problems, but I did have one client that had braces, I pierced them and just a short time later she came in at opening with one of the flat backs on the labret stud hung between two of the brackets in her braces. I tried a few things to get it undone, but wouldn't budge. She had to go to her orthodontist and have one of the two brackets removed and put back on in order to free the labret stud. Hers became hung in her sleep. My suggestion to anyone with braces is to wear rings instead of labret studs during the healing time, and then after 6 weeks if you go to a labret stud, at least sleep with a ring in.
