What games can I run on my low-spec laptop?

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Gr...

this is the integrated graphics your laptop has. you can scroll down to see the performance you will get in games.
As you can see, not many games will be playable at all.

laptop cpu and gpus can not be changed or upgraded (in vast majority of cases). the only things you can upgrade is the storage drive and the ram.

upgrading to an SSD will make your laptop overall feel faster (since your mechanical hdd is usually the slowest thing in your pc and upgrading that drastically improves performance), but it will have next to zero impact on gaming performance since games require rendering which is where all the performance will be centered around (the gpu).

so honestly your only real option will be to buy a new laptop if you want to play newer or more demanding games. (dont really recommend anything below an nvidia gt940m for gaming)

there is a way you can get slightly better gaming performance on your laptop, but it wont be any huge change.

first since you are using integrated graphics, its best to use 2 sticks of ram so they will run in dual channel, increasing memory bandwidth. since integrated graphics use system memory, the more memory bandwidth you have the better the graphics will perform.

memory speed also will increase memory bandwidth, so using the fastest speed ram your pc supports, will also help improve performance.

csgo and rocket league may work if you run at very low resolutions on lowest settings. overwatch isnt a super demanding game, but you are below the minimum requirements.

Why do hybrid laptops cost so much with their low specs?

Features. That’s why they cost so much. Features.Let’s look at the metric that you use to determine the value of a laptop. Specifications. At first glance, this seems to be a useful way to determine how much a laptop is worth. The more powerful it is, the more it is worth, right? The more powerful it is, the more you can do with it…. so it *should* be worth more, correct?Well… that’s not exactly true. I can put two laptops side by side with the same exact specifications. And by that, mean the same processor speed, the same amount of ram, and the same amount of storage… and the same video chipset… and the FEATURES will decide what the price is.If one of them has a touch screen… even though this doesn’t affect how fast the laptop will open the browser, or how many tabs you can use comfortably… this will increase the value. Surely you can see that.If one of the compared laptops is an “ultra-light”, this will increase the value. Being smaller, thinner, and lighter… it is in higher demand. Yet… even though it cost more money than the bigger laptop with the same specs… it is not any more powerful. If one of the laptops has a screen that you can fold completely back to the unit functions like a tablet instead of a laptop… this would increase the value. Again… even though the two laptops have the same specifications, the one that folds back and turns into a tablet is worth more than the one that doesn’t.Now, Hybrid laptops are laptops that have touch screens AND they are lighter and thinner than traditional laptops AND they have screens that fold completely back to allow them to be used like a tablet.So. We have a laptop like other laptops (same value) in that it connects to the net, allows surfing, video watching, research, office applications, etc. Except one of the laptops also has a touch screen, is much thinner and lighter, and it can be turned into a tablet.I’d say that it makes perfect sense why hybrids cost more than “traditional” laptops, even when the specs are the low.Specifications are not the only metric that determines value.

Which Photoshop version should I use on a low specs laptop?

I have a low specs laptop bought in 2007 on Windows XP SP3 with Intel Core Duo Processor, 1gb RAM and 128mb Graphics RAM.

Which version of Photoshop CS2,CS3,CS4,CS5 is best and safest to be installed and to be used on this laptop? I do not want the gpu to get burned or harm my laptop when working on Photoshop.

Thanks a lot.

What are the pros/cons of a 15.4" vs. a 17" laptop computer screen?

I can get the computer where all the specs are the same, just different screens. So price is not what i am worried about. I need answer in the next 30mins, cause i am leaving to go buy one. Please Help. Thanks

Can I cure the ghosting/shading on my laptop screen?

I repair many laptops each week and I am sorry to say that the shading you are describing is most like cause by some damaged wires in the LCD connector for your laptop or a sin that the laptop screen is going bad. You can try changing screen resolution (say from 1024x768 down to 800x600) but my suspicion is that the shading will still be there. In either case the repair will include purchasing and installing a new LCD. I pick them up on eBay for less than $70.00 with shipping all the time. It also requires a little technical know-how to replace the LCD; you have to remove the top and/or bottom LCD cover, disconnect the power and signal cables from the laptop motherboard, and remove the hinges in some cases. Then you have to reverse the process to install the new one. It normally take me between 45 minutes and an hour and a half to do the job correctly and carefully. Good luck. If you need help finding an LCD then post the model number and I'll point you to a replacement on line.

How can I play a high-end graphics game on a low-end graphics laptop using a TV?

Most modern laptops will have some type of video out - VGA, Mini Displayport/Thunderbolt, Full Displayport, HDMI, DVI, etc.If your laptop has one of these ports, you would simply order a cable\adapter from your local electronics store to fit the Bill - ie VGA to HDMI.  Then in the graphics properties assign the TV as the "Primary" Display, and when you start the game it will start up using the output to your TV.  Please note that your video will still be the same quality as on hte laptop screen, just projected onto your TV.  This process will not increas performance, for that you would need to look at a video card upgrade. If you do not have one of these outputs, there are many USB to Video output Options, however these are generally for utility use and not for gaming.  You may not be happy with the performance. In Short: if you are not happy with the FPS on your laptop, you won't be happy with the FPS on your TV, they will be the same.  (If you push a higher resolution to your TV, FPS will actually be lower)  The bottleneck is your video card, not your display. If you find the FPS and quality acceptable on your laptop, then by all means, output the video to your larger screen.
