Leg Pain And High Platelet Count

What do a low neutrophil and high platelet count indicate?

platelets stop blood from rushing out of the body when you get cut necrophilia is a white blood cell which means that she is having high platelets but low white cells which aren't good if she doesn't get the right amount she could end up having a very high risk for a infection [if cut] and ora disease because the white blood cells won't be able ti fight of the invaders to the body but if she gets cut she has a low risk of bleeding to death[ hemophilia] so i would recommend blood transfusion to get the balance or the lesion might be messing with her immune system causing her lack to create the white cells and more of the platelets so remedy find out what the lesion is and fix it from there or bloodtrasnfusion

but i have a very good felling that the lesion is causeing this hole thing and try to fix it oh ps:try to find the source of the lesion to prevent it from coming back good luck

Is having a high platelet count something to...?

have to worry about...here is a little bit of history...female 55 yrs. old...was feeling ill for 11 days-kept getting chills, aches and pain all over and felt feverish---very much like flu symptoms...finally went to dr..was diagnosed as having an issue with diverticulitis....At that time she did a blood test....my platelet count came back high....she prescribed me antibiotics....about 5 days after taking them i was much better and after thorougly finishing the prescription was completely well...Dr. done another blood test...platelet count came back HIGHER than before....so I now need to have another blood test done in 4 days...Now, I know these platelets have do with blood cotting...Is this something that I need to be worried and concerned about...Dr. did mention that if it has not returned to normal then I would be referred to a hematologist...Now, in about 11 days I will be flying by plane and will be on the plane 7 hrs non-stop...Will this non-activity cause me problems like clotting or anything serious if this platelet count is still as high or higher? PLEASE I thank all of you for referring me to websites that you think might help me but I am looking to see if someone may have a professional opinion or advice that was a little bit more "live" (in person, so to speak) than having to read an article...I have read and read and would appreciate some personal advice or professional opinion...I really do not want to worry about this on my trip....thank u....

High WBC, High RBC, and high platelet count...?

I've also been having excruciating abdominal pain for 6 months. They are removing my gall bladder (without any evidence for it) on Monday- the doctor said "let's give it a shot!" Seriously. This is my pre-surgery blood work, and I'm a bit worried about it.

Any ideas for high WBC, high RBC, and high platelet count (and excruciating pain in right side, throbbing pain in left side, intermittent fevers, nausea and vomiting, and pain in legs)....?

*and obviously I've been to the doctor. The doctor won't be back to "analyze" the blood work... so, if you have ideas... I just want to know.

I have a high white blood cell count and high platelets? they want me to do a bone marrow test.?

Hi, im Chris, I do have Lupus. I really liked Tweetybirds answer. Everything in your labwork may be slightly elevated, but not signifigantly. All or some can be due to infection, even clogged bile ducts of Liver. Or kidney stones, or some issue with your pancrease. The one thing I canm think of, is there are no liver tests listed, nor kidney tests....but yet you are having the same symptoms I have with my autoimmune hepatitis. within a physical test and ultra sound, upon seeing swollen liver, kidneyes, et all, they would do all those tests, possibly even biopsies. Sounds like you can have MONO . and having the physical symptoms of Lupus, dosnt make up the 4 of 11 critera. which many of the symptoms are not part of. On the other hand, my ANA is funky. It can be Positive one day, and negative the next. Somthing is up, but what? It can be hundrads of things, autoimmune, viral, bacterial here is the Real Lupus diagnostic critera, there is a difference between a symptom, and critera. Diagnostic criteria for lupus Provided by: Last Updated: June 29, 2004 Diagnostic criteria for lupus The following criteria are used to distinguish lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus, or SLE) from other autoimmune and rheumatic diseases. A person with 4 of these 11 conditions can be diagnosed with lupus; 3 symptoms suggest that lupus is probably present, and 2 raise the possibility of lupus. Symptoms may be present all at once or appear in succession over a period of time. 1 Butterfly (malar) rash on cheeks Rash on face, arms, neck, torso (discoid rash) Skin rashes that result from exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light (photosensitivity) Mouth or nasal ulcers, usually painless Joint swelling, stiffness, pain involving two or more joints (arthritis) Inflammation of the membranes surrounding the lungs (pleuritis) or heart (pericarditis). This inflammation is called serositis. Abnormalities in urine, such as increased protein or clumps of red blood cells or kidney cells, called cell casts, in the urine Nervous system problems, such as seizures or psychosis, without known cause Problems with the blood, such as reduced numbers of red blood cells (anemia), platelets, or white blood cells Positive antinuclear antibody (ANA) test Signs of increased autoimmunity (antibodies against normal tissue), as shown by laboratory tests Theres always an answer to the riddle Chris

Pregnancy and high platelet count, is this dangerous?

First of all you need to stop worrying. Worrying only makes things worse and can lead to further complications. During my pregnancy (high risk pregnancy) I was having some complications and so I was put on bed rest. Docs were watching my platelet levels VERY CLOSELY and despite the levels being normal I was receiving heparin shots twice a day, everyday, to prevent blood clotting. It is also a blood thinner like aspirin and I never had any side effects and never got any blood clots and my platelet counts remained normal. Just listen to your doc's instructions because they know what's better for your and your baby's health. They won't give you anything that could harm you or your child. Everything will be fine. Good luck though.

What's the use of the platelet count in the body?

Hi,Platelets also called as thrombocytes, it is a component of blood whose function (along with the coagulation factors) is to stop bleeding by clumping and clogging blood vessel injuries.A normal platelet count in a healthy person ranges from 150,000 to 450,000 platelets per microlitre of blood. When the count is below 150,000 per microlitre, it is considered a low platelet count. There are several other diseases where platelet count significantly goes down. Either there would be the destruction of platelets or decreased formation of platelets. Following are few important causes of decreased platelet count - Dengue fever, Malaria, Chikungunya, and viral infections - Liver diseases - Several cancers - Chemotherapy and radiations given to treat cancerMinmin PB contains purified, potent and standardized extract of Carica papaya leaf, which improves platelet count in Dengue fever and viral infections.Carica Papaya Leaf Extract helps in followingEnhances Platelet Production.Prevents Platelet Destruction.Carica papaya leaf extract also has a direct inhibitory action on Dengue virus, Malaria Plasmodium, and other viruses.Carica papaya leaf extract protects the body from harmful oxidants during these infections.Minmin Pb (Carica papaya leaf extract) increases the WBC counts (White Blood Cells - fighting cells of your body) & bone marrow cells, thereby boosts the body’s immunity.Carica papaya leaf extract is not recommended in pregnancy and patients who are hypersensitive to its compositionDisclaimer: Kindly consult your doctor before taking any medication.

Blood Clot and Low Platelet count?

My husband had severe pain start in his left leg three weeks ago. Went to Dr and they did and xray and said he just bumped it... a week later his left foot started bruising. Went to different dr. They did xray and ultrasound and sent him for an mri. He has a blood clot in the left leg and then the dr did bloodwork and said his platelet count was low. Then sent him home. We are thinking about getting a second opinion....any suggestions on what this may be? or what should be done about it?

Rash and low platelets?

Last week i had these rashes. Small red rash on my tummy, hands, and legs. I panicked so i went to the doctor he said i should have my platelet check. He did cbc on me and i found out that i have low platelet(low wbc count but everything is normal). He said i have dengue. But i feel fine no fever(temperature is normal), a mild back pain, a sore throat which i think i got from my frequent sneezing because of allergic rhinitis.

Anyways, he said that i take up lots of water so i drank many water for that day. The next day i took up another cbc test and my platelet went up. My rash lasted 3 days.

Question is what caused the rash? And is it really dengue? I never heard of dengue fever for one day only. Im a bit curious and worries for myself.
