Can a Conservative please explain the "Liberal Agenda" to me?
I'm a liberal. I understand my own beliefs. But I would like to know what Conservatives believe is so wrong with the Liberal point of view. Points will be awarded to the person whose comments is the most eloquent, not whether I agree with you or not.
Is the president the only one that can order the military to stand down?
The military may only follow "lawful orders." If a president orders it, his order may not be countermanded by anyone because the president is the Commander in Chief. He also - as we now know from the results of the OBL matter - that he also gives orders for special military units to engage under the radar in order to accomplish a specific goal. What you are suggesting therefore is that a president might mistakenly give an order that oversteps his authority as relates to Congress having the sole ability to declare a war.
What are salami tactics, or salami strategy?
It is the divide and conquer agenda, only one just takes slices here and there without anyone really noticing until the whole thing is taken. This is much like our government has been doing for over 100 years, in taking a few of our rights away a little at a time. Hitler did this in Europe in the early '30's until it started getting noticed. O baa ma is trying it with the porkulous packages. We soon will not have a single right if these politicians have their way. Time to stand and fight for freedom!
