Poll: Do you listen to music for their lyrics or for the music?
Both..I prefer music with no or minimal lyrics over all, with lyrics it needs to be meaningful, to have passion and soul, or it just won't do for me.
Is listening to music with no lyrics haram?
I have heard that listening to muslim that have unlawful lyrics is haram and I have watched movies about the prophet (saw) and i saw many musical instruments in it...so does listening to music with just a beat haram? Really, I don't even pay attention to lyrics.... I just sing along but they mean nothing to me... it is the Islamic music that really gets to my heart :) Thanks
