Looking At Online Trade In Sites Video Games Dvds Cd

What is the best place to trade/sell games?

ignore what everyone has answered and check this out. go to glyde.com . they buy and sell video games, books, cds and dvds. when you sell your video games on there, they will be sold based on what condition your game is in. if its in good condition, you will sell it for a good price, about 90% of the resale price. (example, say you trade in ninja gaiden 2. right now that game goes for 20bucks new, and about 17bucks used. this site will help you sell it for about $15.50, not $5 like gamestop would pay you for it)

the only drawback with the site is its a amazon.com ish site. you put your game up for sale and have to wait for someone to buy it. but when you do put your game up for sale, if you chose their suggested price, the site will move your copy of that game to the front of the line and make sure it gets sold first.

when its sold, the website sends you a pre-paid envelope to put your sold item in, you do so, then just put it in the mailbox and youre set. you do have to pay a minor shipping fee, but if you want, they take that small fee out of the profit you made for selling your item, so you never have to worry about it.

after you sell your stuff, you can use your money as credit for on the site, or cash out and get the money for yourself.

since you have Wii and DS games, they should sell fairly quick. good luck!

What is the best website to sell used DVDs, CDs, and video games?

You can quickly compare the prices at different dvd buyback websites at DVD Hunt. Just enter the UPC and see who pays the most.

How do you damage a video game CD without making it look obvious?

I'm not advising that you do this, as it's a waste. It'd be better if the disc just got misplaced. Buuut, if you're bent on destroying the game and you don't want it to be obvious, you'll need to damage the top of the disc. Just a bit. Scratches are easily noticed, but a small nick on the label side will generally render most CD / DVD format video games useless. This is because the laser bounces off the underside of the label and is refracted back through the plastic layer below. Use a knife gently (and carefully) to cause small abrasions on the label of the disc. Just enough so that you can sort of see through to the other side when you hold the disc up to light. Most people who are looking for damage to CDs will look on the underside, where scratches are common. Checking the label side is less common, as most people don't realize its imporance to the proper function of the disc.

So there you have it. A strategy to use stealth to destroy (with high likelihood) this game disc. Once more, I think you'd be better off taking it to a nice local video game store and trading it in for cash. Or just asking him to stop playing. Good luck!

Besides GameStop, where else can I trade in Video Games?

It's already been mentioned in these answers, but most towns and cities have at least one local, geeky shop, and most of these shops will either buy games, or at the very least direct you to a place that will. However, one commonly overlooked option is Newbury Comics.Newbury Comics is only located in five New England states, these states being New Hampshire with four stores, Rhode Island with two, one each in Connecticut and Maine, and 20 in Massachusetts where the company was founded. It's a retail chain that sells new and used comics, music, and DVDs, but there's usually a small section for games as well. You can sell CDS, DVDs and BluRays, and Video Games to a Newbury Comics store, and sometimes it's even a better option than Gamestop. While Gamestop calculates prices using it's own stock of used games and it's own supply and demand, essentially regulating their own internal economy, Newbury Comics tends to value trade-ins based on their average value and rarity on other markets. One time I sold a CD to Newbury Comics that didn't exist in their internal database, and the cashier checked the CD’s average sale price on Amazon to calculate how much to pay me for it. However, this also comes with a notable drawback: when the CD was seen to be selling for 100 dollars and upwards online, the cashier had to call her district manager to see what she was allowed to pay for me for the CD. I was told the most she could give me was a maximum of 10 dollars for the CD, and like the dumb, desperately broke kid I was at the time, I took it.This means that if a game is worth 20 dollars and Newbury Comics can only give you 10, you're better off trying to find a local market or selling to Gamestop, where theorerotically, there is no maximum price, as I gave customers over 30 dollars on occasion for certain games, usually rare JRPGs. Also, unlike Gamestop, Newbury Comics can refuse to buy the game from you if they determine its value to be low enough. Technically Gamestop can do this too, but they only really ever do this if it's a five-years-outdated yearly sports game; at my store in the backroom we had stacks of games like Madden 2006 and NBA2k 07 that the store computer-system wouldn't even allow us to sell, so my store manager simply threw them in the dumpster out back.If you live in the New England area, and for whatever reason don't want to do business with Gamestop, Newbury Comics is an option worth looking into.

Where can I sell old DVDs for cash? (not online)?

local dvd places like Blockbuster or Hollywood Video . . . . in my area theres 20/20 video (live in LA) that buys games & dvds; dont expect a lot of money for em though . . . .

gl & peace!

What is Walmart's return policy on video games?

90 days to return- with receipt, unopened goes back the way you paid. Without receipt, unopened goes back to store credit (must show ID). Once a video game, DVD, or CD had been opened it can only be exchanged for the exact same title. This is in compliance with federal regulations concerning pirating and media. Associates won't override this for you. Supervisors, managers, all the way up the chain, won't override it for you. It's a waste of time to make a scene about it. The only exception is if you had purchased refurb/preowned video games or software. In that case you can exchange it for a different title, but no refund will be issued. Additionally, SOME managers will approve an exchange for the same title, but for a different system within the same "family" (ex: Xbox One game for Xbox 360 game, but NOT Xbox One game for Playstation game). This is on a very case to case basis though, so don't expect this to happen.

How much does it cost to rent a video game at family video?

I don't know how much it cost at Family Video (there is no Family Video where I live) but at Block Buster is five dollars for five day (it always rounds out at seven dollars with tax). Here's a better option buy the game used at Game Stop, or Play And Trade for ten dollars.
