Looking For The Best Sites Out There Other Then Ebay Or Craigslist To Sell Your Stuff On.

I am selling stuff on eBay, can I post on craigslist that I am selling on eBay?

Absolutely not. Craigslist is for local, face-to-face, cash transactions only. Posting your auctions there is rude and violates the TOS, and would get flagged off. The more often your ads are flagged off, the fewer flags are needed to flag off your ads until it gets to the point that they come down in seconds.

The point of eBay is to deliver prospective buyers. If you're posting your auctions correctly, and you are offering items that people want for a fair price and have a good feedback rating, you won't need to post anywhere else. If you're not posting your auctions correctly or have these other problems, you can wallpaper the planet with ads for your listings and they still won't sell.

The bottom line is to stop looking for places to spam and start looking for ways to improve your listings.

What are some great sites to sell stuff on (besides Craigslist)?

How do I sell stuff on Craigslist?

http://www.craigslist.org/about/help/

The following link is the FAQ's for craigslist. I highly recommend reading it. Price fair market value. Look on ebay and other websites when you are pricing. Craigslist has tons of people that overprice items and then they never sell. Check out other peoples ads when pricing as well. I personally never ship items, too many scams involved. Always take pictures and give as much information as possible when posting your ad. Items sold in lots may sell better than individual items.

Books may be a hard sell on Craigslist because it is a limited market. You might also consider selling to a used bookstore like Half Price Books if you are unsucessful on Craigslist. They buy books on the spot. Many local used bookstores also buy books. Amazon.com and ebay also are better resources for selling used books.

Which site can you make more money from, eBay or Craigslist?

Craigslist is area specific (i.e. people often post ads where they expect you to pick an item up) vs. eBay's international market where items are generally shipped via air post. This naturally leads to a larger, global marketplace. Craigslist is also a bit like a flee market in that most items are used (sometimes even free!) eBay on the other hand ranges from used goods to major retail vendors (I highly doubt their items go for free). At the end of the day, if you're looking to unload a used refrigerator I'd say it would be worthwhile to post an ad in your local Craigslist and maybe even some used good swaps groups on Facebook, etc...however if you are looking to sell a large number of items, you're interested in dropshipping, or becoming an online merchant, then eBay is the place for you. I wrote an article about all things eBay that you can read here: All About that eBay - The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. I hope it gives you a better idea of online selling.

Where do you sell items online: Amazon, eBay, or Craigslist? Where else and why?

It depends what your are selling but there are many different channels to sell things online. The more platforms they are in the more exposure it gets. Facebook and Pinterest are set to roll out buy buttons in the next couple of weeks. This will allow you to sell items directly in their platform from your own ecommerce site.  Wanelo is currently already doing this. It really depends on the amount of time you want to put in and whether you want to manage your own ecommerce platform. With hosted options now like Shopify http://longlivetheinternet.com/s... you can setup your own site in an hour for less than $50 a month. If you have your own site you can syndicate the products to half a dozen other platforms.
